Adventure Valley Day Camp

Excellent range and pace of activities - something for everyone. The councillors bond with the kids quickly, are open-minded and kind. Our camper came home happy each day and looked forward to days ahead, so much so that we booked an extra week. Highly recommend.

I am so grateful that I discovered Adventure Valley Day Camp for my daughter. She has loved every moment of her time there and I have been incredibly impressed with the staff, the activities, and, THE SPIRIT! I’ll be sending her back summer after summer.

My two girls loved the camp. English isn't their first language, so I was a little worried at first but the counselors and staff were amazing - kids enjoyed their time at the camp. They are looking forward to next years camp already!

I had a rare opportunity to send my daughter to summer camp this summer. Rare because this is the year 2020. Most camps decided not to run or were pressured by municipal policies around COVID-19 not to operate. Understandably, many day camp sessions were cancelled because they hyper focused on the fears around the pandemic. Where I acknowledge and appreciate those concerns, I was also focused on my daughters emotional and mental well being. A summer stuck inside the house was not an option for us.I admire how courageous Adventure Valley and its executive staff was to offer its camp program and to keep running despite all of the challenges to do so. They accomplished their goals safely and effectively. The entire camp staff remained happy and positive throughout the sessions and allowed my daughter to have a great summer - one which was on par or perhaps even better compared to summers past. How many can say that of their children’s experience this summer?Thanks Adventure Valley!

Amazing Camp. Very organized with fun activities for the kids.

My two kids had the best time at Adventure Valley. The camp was very fun for them. The staff seemed very enthusiastic, welcoming & friendly. Everything was organized & kids liked the food provided. Overall, a fun experience. Thank you AV!

Though the place could be improved a lot, there a quite a few good things to keep the kids occupied. There is archery, bikes with or without training wheels and helmets, tennis courts, table tennis (ping pong), jumping castle, big outdoor swimming pool, a separate kids pool to name a few.There is a small river running across the place. It is very scenic and right inside the city. There is enough parking.

I wanted to tell you what an amazing environment AV 2022 was for both of our kids. I wasn't sure what to expect given that the location didn't have a pool but it turns out that didn't matter at all. From the first day, our kids (7 and 10) were on Cloud 9. The supportive and inclusive environment that the staff created made it safe for our nonbinary 7-year-old to take risks by participating in new activities; they came out of a shell that we didn’t realize they were in, and they flourished. I could not be more grateful to you for that. Our daughter, too, found a safe space to talk about and express her gender identity. I wish you could have seen her face as she walked down the stairs on the last day of camp dressed as her favorite counselor. Both kids came home from camp happy, energized, satisfied and more independent each day. Our daughter is even talking about wanting to work at AV when she is old enough. This has never been our experience before (including at some high-end Oakville camps) and we can say with certainty we’ll see you next summer. THANK YOU!

Amazing camp and wonderful group of staff. The camp director and head staff go above and beyond for every single camper and staff member. I have never met a harder working group of head staff and leadership team. I absolutely love working at av and have the best group of campers
