Heed not the descriptions of 'lightly dusted' or 'breaded' appies: everything is battered and deep-fried. Coconut shrimp was 'unavailable'. The cook was 'unable to make' coffee or tea (!?) The live music was actually quite good, but really, really loud and apparently could not be turned down. As a result, although we went in for lunch, we just settled for the aforementioned appetizers. On the plus side, the location was excellent, overlooking the lake and marina, but we will not be back.

Every time my family and Niah come to the Light House, We have a great time. Food is delicious, the place is pleasant and Emiljana and her husband are the best hostes ever. Thank you to the light house for the great service and nice memories

Light House Lounge & Grill
First time at the Lighthouse Restaurant today! We were pleasantly surprised!! The decor was sophisticated and elegant with obvious attention to detail and that patio was very inviting!! The food was delicious. It was light, fresh and crispy! Our server was wonderful and friendly and she was training and the woman training her was patient, kind and very encouraging. It was heartwarming to watch and clearly a great place to work too!! 10/10 would recommend this hidden gem every day!!!

We had dinner here for the first time on the weekend. Our waitress, Jaslyne, was an absolute sweetheart. She made us feel very welcome, and was extremely attentive throughout the whole meal (give this girl a raise)! We also met the owner, Emiljana, who was very warm and welcoming. You can tell she puts her heart and soul into her restaurant! We had the fish and chips and the chicken caesar wrap and both were really good! Good portions at a reasonable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and we would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant! Keep up the good work, we'll be back!!

Got caught in the rain! But that turned out to be a good thing! The indoor dining was clean and bright! Amazing service! The personal touch of fresh flowers is pleasant and welcoming!

As a chef myself I am usually very critical when I go out to eat. We stopped here on a whim and wow! Totally impressed by the food, the service and the owner.All the food is made from scratch and it shows! We went on a Monday and there were still a few tables but our service was very prompt as well! I spoke with the owner and let her know how much my husband and I enjoyed everything and her extra efforts to do everything homemade was noticed! She is the only cook so works every shift herself and is still one of the most friendly people I have had the pleasure to meet!

The food was exquisite, served to perfection! I enjoyed watching the Peterborough fountain from the patio with the waitresses going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with every moment I spent at this lovely location.

Worst service ever. Went there on Canada Day with my hubby and two others. First thing we did was order a round of ice water because it was hot.. The server brought one glass. After getting her attention. Several times for the next 40 minutes saying we needed more ice water finally got three empty glasses. And -a pitcher of water. No ice. We asked for ice and then ordered our meal and drinks. Almost an hour after sitting there we finally got one glass full of ice.yes a glass of ice. Our drinks came after 45 minutes of being there but only three of them. The fourth came a half hour later. When the server brought my husbands red wine she spilled the entire glass on him. Then the couple next to us she did the same thing and spilled his red wine but like really nailed him. The the appetizers. We bought it we’re disgusting nothing but frozen mozzarella sticks, frozen whatever that was deep fried nothing was fresh nothing was fresh made.After being brought the entire bill without a discount, I went to speak to the owner. I stood inside, were only staff was and was completely ignored for over 10 minutes, including by the owner. Who admitted to seeing me there. It wasn’t until after I finally called someone aside and said I need to speak to the owner that I got any attention. It turned out the server had not even told the owner that she had spilled wine on two patrons it was an absolute joke. The whole visit was an absolute joke, an appetizer, and one round of drinks should not have taken over two hours.. the owner gave us our meal and drinks for free but ultimately the entire blame is on the owner. She was the only cook in the kitchen on a busy day when she should have been out making sureThe restaurant was running, as it should be making sure her customers were being taken care of properly. Never ever will I ever recommend this place or ever go back

Sadly I looked up to make sure they were open. I met a girlfriend for lunch and paid for parking. Walked over and could hear the good tunes. It looked busy. Walked up and was getting looks. Went inside and nobody was around. Finally a waitress came in and we asked to be seated and she told us it was a private event. This was not stated anywhere online or Facebook and even at the bottom of the stairs there was a chalkboard that showed the daily specials. This post isn’t to criticize the business. Just maybe post private events so people doing their due justice and can decide on other places to go if we see your booked for an event.
