Go Pro Restoration

We retained Go Pro to assess/remove mold, and repair damage associated with a pre-existing roof leak. From a project management/advice perspective, Kristjan was frank, knowledgeable, and considerate, and from an admin perspective, Jodi was friendly and responsive. The repairs took longer than anticipated, but I am still giving 5 stars because the team was always responsive, respectful and proactive (even outside working hours) when setbacks were encountered. They tackled a tough repair situation and we are satisfied with the results!

After an awful experience with the 'preferred contractors' provided by our insurance company, we turned to Go Pro for repairs to our home after the ottawa wind storm. George, Ujita and the whole team were great from start to finis - my only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. highly recommend.

GoPro did a foundation crack repair and minor flood restoration in our basement this year. Overall the workmanship was very good although I'm waiting for them to return to correct a couple of issues with the carpet reinstallation. Communications were good, but I echo other reviews here about work scheduling. More than once workers didn't show up as planned, and there was an inordinately long delay between completion of the exterior repairs and the commencement of those inside. I certainly recommend their work, but be prepared for delays in the process.

I would highly recommend Go Pro Restoration. I had some immediate basement renovations that needed to be done. They were over immediately to provide an estimate and returned a day later to begin all required work. They were fast and very professional. I would have no issue to recommend George and his team to anyone. In fact, they just did some work for my neighbor and she was thrilled. Thanks again to both George and Jodi for your professional and dedicated service.

I do not recommend this company. They were beyond unprofessional. The failed to properly contain the mould affected area and cross contaminated my entire house. They used primer in the affected wall leaving active mould under it and ruining the carpet in that room. They left full areas of the wall untreated. They refused to provide me with before and after photos. Thankfully I hired another company that did a great job cleaning up and properly removing the mould left behind by this company.

The worst customer service!A tree fell on my house during the 2022 derecho leaving a lot of damage to my house. I decided to go with this company for repairs and what a mistake that was. I was strung along for weeks and had to constantly call or email to see where we were at and eventually winter hit and the work had to be postponed till spring. Fast forward to spring - I talked to the owner and the work was going to start when the weather was more consistent" I called and emailed a couple more times and was told I would be contacted with a date (I even called one more time after this). It's now the middle of May and I have heard nothing. Its safe to say its an unorganized mess over there

I had to pay the full cost of $10,000 and the job is not complete!I had water damage and needed my dining room ceiling and bathroom floor redone.In terms of the bathroom, they had to redo the flooring three times because it wasn't done properly the first time, and now, it is still unfinished and I had to pay them in full.After the first time, they promised to send their best" staff to do the job properly. It still hasn't been done properly and the entire bathroom has been left in chaos

I regrete to choose Go Pro Restoration to work on my project. I don't recommend this company at all. I rate one star because there is no 0 or nagtive starts to rate.My dishwasher was leaking water slowly. It damaged the floor and caused some mold on the floor and the drywall behind the cabinet and the counter. I hired this company to clean the mold, fix the damaged drywall, counter, cabinet, and replace ceramic floor tile with vinyl splunk floor. They agreed to finish the work in one week, at most 2 weeks in case there was anything unexpected.The project started on Jun 13. Two workers came on time, which was good. They moved the island, oven, and the fridge out of the kitchen. But they scratched my hardwood floor in the family room. The remove the counter and cabinet where there was mold. They broke the granit backsplash of the counter top. They broke the tile on the kitchen wall. They should be responsible to fix whatever they damaged. They asked more money for the extral cost. There was a vinyl layer under ceramic floor. I asked them to remove it when they came to do the estimation. But they used the word clean the vinyl layer" on the contract. They refuse to remove the vinyl layer or I have to pay over $600. Second week

We hired this company to come do emergency restoration and repairs after a burst city main flooded our basement. In the first meeting our project manager came very quickly and we signed a contract right away. However, in the 4 weeks following this, we felt very disheartened in how slow the progress went (or didn't go), and we didn't feel like getting our basement fixed was at all a priority. Often our project manager would state that something would happen (we'd get our estimates done soon, someone would come show us samples, etc.) and it wouldn't happen. It was 4 weeks before our estimates were done, and the original flooding was very minimal. The drying was done quite quickly, so there was no need for this delay. After 4 weeks, when there was another miscommunication between our project manager and his office, which led to them not starting the repairs when they said they would be able to, I wrote to say I was cancelling the contract.After this point, the office manager contacted me apologizing, and offering to guarantee work done in a short time period should I choose to use them after all. At this point, they were very attentive, and responsive, and the work that we decided to contract back to them did get done well and very efficiently. Also, all of the people who I interacted were indeed very nice. However, I personally don't think it is very professional for a customer to have to make a fuss before getting good customer service. It should be the default.Another issue which happened, was that I noticed when reading my estimates/invoices that there were several charges that were simply not applicable (didn't apply to the work they were doing, weren't going to happen, or charges for things that didn't seem to have happened). I pointed them out, over numerous emails, to the office manager and she did in fact remove them and I didn't have to pay them. However, this left me with a bad feeling in my mouth and I don't feel it should be the responsibility of the client to decipher whether the charges being made are accurate. Especially when the terminology can be quite confusing to someone who isn't familiar with the trades.I leave 2 stars because of the helpfulness of the office after my cancellation, and the good work that did happen, and the pleasantness of the people I interacted with. However, considering the numerous negative issues that happened, I would personally not be using this company again.

Go Pro did an amazing job saving our basement from further damage during a recent flooding. Their team were prompt, professional and quick to action. They even went as far as helping us with our insurance dealings and coordinated all necessary items for our rebuild. Our home looks as good as new. thanks team!
