Noodle Delight

I bought take out from this restaurant for several time. It is sad to say that their quality had gone down so much after the pandamic. I used to love their Hong Kong style curry chicken and this time I ordered the same thing. There were not much meat (like 5 pieces) and no potato chuck at all. The rice was hard, and not the same rice I tasted two years ago.

We cannot come to Scarborough without stopping in Noodle delight. From the moment we walk in we are always recognized by the owner. We have so many wonderful memories of this place, from sharing a meal as teenagers to making sure to bring home kwung tung for our 20 year old daughter. Thank you for continuing to provide your customers (old and new) with amazing comfort food and memories:D

I have been going to this place since I was a kid. I always go here whenever I'm in the Victoria Park area. The kobe beef noodles have been my go-to dish and it never disappoints!

This place has been a favourite of my family's for about 40 years.The prices are dirt cheap. Portions are quite large - we rarely finish and usually have leftovers for another meal.They have THE BEST spring rolls, which are filled with bamboo shoots. These spring rolls ruined my mother for any other spring roll.Hot and sour soup is also amazing. The wonton soup is shrimp and my mom loved it.While known for their noodles, their fried rice is probably the best I've ever eaten. It has a mild smoke flavour from the wok and is divine.Recently introduced my Chinese-Indonesian fiancé to this place and he has demanded we go back almost weekly. We live in an area with A LOT of Asian cuisine, but this place is definitely his favourite.Over the years, we've tried most of the menu and everything is great. 10/10Service is also good, and the owners are friendly. Service is fast and food is made to order right behind the counter in an open kitchen. Food speed is equivalent to fast food, but much more delicious.Perfect if you work in an office and have limited time for lunch, want something cheap, filling, tasty, and fast.Get a combo - main dish, small soup, spring roll, and drink for a similar price to a fast food combo. I guarantee you will not eat it all.

I was hoping that the quality of the food hasn't changed. Glad I was right, food is still good. Portion size seems to have improved over the years in my absence.We ordered the Pad Thai noodles and the Seafood Egg Meon Shrimp.Service : relatively friendly staff. Seems that this is the first chinese resto and a noodle oriented place at that we have dined at, and I didn't see any chopsticks.Food : 4/5Pad thai, I'm not an expert on Pad thai, but we found the dish to be enjoyable. Tho the fresh ground peanuts were a tad on the salty side, nice chewy noodles and the dish was served hot. As for the Egg Meon Shrimp, the dish wasn't as hot (maybe it was cooked first) the tastes of seafood were really really subtle in this dish. The only items providing flavor for me, was the fish cake and the shrimps. Way too much sauce and since it was using ho fun noodles (flat rice noodles), they don't exactly soak up sauce very well.Beverages :Water situation : looks like they only offer tap water, bottled Dasani water is $1.54 a bottle.Bottled drinks are $2 bux each + tax. Soft drinks in can are $1.37.If your on a budget, I'd recommend bringing your own drinks, or stop at the Subway Sandwiches 2 doors to the left and refill a reusable bottle with cold water, I bought 3 cookies and refilled our 2 bottles with cold ice waterMethod of payment : Cash & Debit, not sure on credit cardsRepeat visit : yes, there are few more dishes we are interested to taste. Sadly have to avoid the dishes with beef, due to beef being a gout trigger for me.Update : May 10, 2018Visited on May 9th, and the quality dropped and so did the portion size for what we ordered.This time we ordered the Hong Kong noodles and a special Sweet and Sour Pork chops w/steamed rice. Both dishes we requested without any bell peppers. They granted the request, but the portion size was less than our previous visit.The Hong Kong noodles were soooo soggy. 1/5 for the Hong Kong noodles on this visit. I'd give 3/5 for the Sweet and Sour pork chops w/rice.There are still more noodle dishes we are interested in trying. Just skipping the ones with beef, due to beef being a gout trigger for me.

Noodle Delight is delicious! Just love it! We stop in everytime we pass through from Ottawa to eat lunch and to bring a couple home for the fam!

This place been around for almost 40 years, started to go there since late 90s. Managed by owner, very traditional Hong Kong style chinese food. Still have very competitve price, dinner special is around $12. Soup or drink extra. Make sure you bring cash, they only accept the king and debit (fee on you).Lot of parking, lot of dinner area, as most customer we seen are ordering take out at of time of our last visit.Curry brisket, fried chicken wings, sweet and sour chicken just to name a few.

I’ve been going to this location for YEARS. However, in the last 3 months… been getting bad taste due to service. The latest was today. I was denied tap water because she saw me bring in a 1/2 filled bottled water! Are you serious???? Older ladies behind counter, no customer service! Disappointing and really make me think twice of going there.

I remember coming to Noodle Delight decades ago, well before the plaza was redeveloped. The idea is still the same after all this time - lots of noodles for a price that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else.I had the Shanghai noodle combo special, $12 tax in. The noodles came with a sprinkling of beef and a fair amount of shrimp. I spooned in a little chili oil to kick it up a bit. The combo included soup, spring roll and a cup of pop. It is not the finest Shanghai noodle that I have ever had but that would be unrealistic for the price.The restaurant is clean, the man in charge at the cash was efficient and not unpleasant and made sure everything was done exactly as it should be. I'm sure that they will be around for many more years providing good old school value.
