The employees who work here are friendly! I think there was a reason my barber, Mo, had a lot of availability for appointments day of. I was just visiting Halifax so I did not have many options available for a hair cut and decided to give the man a chance.Overall no where near a 4.8/5 star google review although can’t speak about the skills for the other barbers.Mo did not listen to instructions or ask before outlining the hair around forehead. And the transition for the fade was not blended well leaving a very harsh and noticeable transition around the entire head. 30$ for a 10 min haircut by a barber with not much experience is way out to lunch. I had Otti cut my hair. Excellent fade and cleaned up my hair very well. My hair was messed up from a previous barber and Otti fixed it up. I have very straight thick hair which is hard for some people to cut but Otti cut my hair very well right to the detail as I wanted as I am very particular with how I like my hair cut. Very personable and friendly as well with good conversation. Will be returning again.

The Big Moustache Barbershop has a wonderful aesthetic and a wide comfortable waiting area. I was very pleased that I was able to book my appointment online and not worry about long waiting lines. Otti, my barber was professional and personable, and further did an amazing job with my haircut after glancing at the reference image I provided him. I was seeking a new barber after moving from another province and count myself lucky to have found this establishment so quickly. If you are looking for a barber that can handle black hair types and textures, I enthusiastically endorse this shop.

Received an okay haircut. The person cutting my hair did not have a lot of experience and it showed as there was essentially no transition in length from the shorter portions to the longer portions (fade). I also had to request a couple of times that he cut my hair shorter (especially in the front) as it was too long. However, the issues really arose as the left and right sides were not cut even to one another, there were a lot of stray hairs (bunches) including one portion that was terribly longer than the rest. I asked him to fix this longer portion although he was reluctant as he said it was cut to the length of the top (it was not as it sat longer than the rest) and did little to fix it. As a result, I had to fix the cut when I arrived home by trimming the longer portion as well as straightening the stray hairs/bunches. However, there is nothing I can do to fix the lack of a fade. I must admit that the person cutting my hair was very friendly and engaging to chat with. However, I am going to go somewhere else next time as I am very disappointed with the cut, especially for the price.

This review is for the Bayer's Lake location.Seepan was great! Loved the fade cut he provided. He was fast efficient and great attention to detail. He asked great questions and checked in every step of the way.I even got to listen in on the barber next to me and hear him suggest not going too short on his own client, as it wouldn’t look right and hair would stick up. Shows that these guys care about the service they provide and take pride in their work.I chose to try them out, as they opened almost next door to my own store and having heard from customers this morning how great they were, I decided to take a chance. I’m very happy with the result may have found a more permanent barber. Great that I can pop over on my lunch break!

Great experience here, Sam did a really good job, and adjusted things whenever I asked. The price is very reasonable (30$) I'll definitely be back

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best barbershop in the city of Halifax!. Great guys who are very dedicated to there craft and do an excellent fade and straight razor beard line up. The gentlemen that work here and the owner of the shop are professional, kind, and really know what they are doing. I strongly recommend “ The Big Moustache Barbershop” if you are in the Halifax area!.

If you want an amazing experience go to this place!I’ve never had a haircut and bread trim that was more relaxing and absolutely perfect.Sam was the barber that took care of me and he made sure I looked good for the wedding.Their motto is “You deserve nothing but the best” and this is exactly what I got.Can’t wait for another cut and trim.
