Don't waste your money!Don't waste your money!!This is by far the worst surveyor i have ever come across. You would think for 1000$ he could at least write an accurate report. The report was completely inaccurate, starting with the year built being listed as 2002 when the boat is actually a 2013.Mistakes and Inaccuracies1. Year built listed as 2002 actual year built 20132. All valves listed as bronze actual valve type stainless3. Flares and safety equipment listed as none, actual number of flares 18 on board, in a cupboard clearly marked FLARES"4. Listed radar and radome as installed equipment

RUN!!! Do not walk away from this idiot, Paul Dupre. The most useless (not a) surveyor I have ever used. Did not show up for the scheduled appointment. Had to stay on the hard for two more days. No less than 24 obvious errors and omissions on the survey. Quoted a price at $20/ft and billed $25/ft. Omitted most domestic equipment and electronics, all safety equipment and genset. Errors too many to list. When I contacted him to edit the report, he flatly refused. Had to get another survey done. He is a waste of time and money.

An absolute con-artist! Avoid this scammer like the plague. There is a reason he’s got a pathetic 1.7 star rating! Sold me a false made up survey with a fake date on it (I confirmed with the broker he didn’t come on the date he claimed on the survey). Later I discovered Paul had also lied about the condition of the boat. The boat had significant damage issues and lots of broken equipment that he’d reported as functional… He clearly didn’t even check! When I politely brought his mistakes to his attention he wasn’t even professional enough to take responsibility, let alone offer to make things right. In 45 years of boat ownership I have honestly never encountered such deceitful person. This guy is a joke!

Was on my boat for 1 hour with a mechanic as well. Blown headgasket caused me to cancel the survey after 40 mins. He cheated me $525 for 1 hour of his time and provided me with zero documentation. How can 1 hour cost $525? Won't return my calls.

One star, how about no star !Made an appointment in April confirmedA month later the time to be there !Took the week off work and hauled the boat output it on the hard and power washed it and $800 pluslater he did not even show up or call me .Now I have to get a new surveyor and haul the boatout again for my insurance broker!Thanks for nothing

I had a pre-purchase survey done by Western. They missed more defects than I can list here. Helped me make a $100,000 mistake. Outdrives failed after 1 hour, bilge pumps run every 15 minutes, worst paint job I've seen on a Formula, One engine is down a cylinder the other has a knock, massive corrosion issues just to name a few. They are either inept or just don't care for Americans. I'd suggest a different surveyor.

Run away! RUN!! Like the other dozen people who’ve taken the time to write a review. Paul Dupre is an unprofessional con-artist. He will do the minimum possible, charge you for work he didn’t even do and then he’ll falsify documents and lie about anything and everything… If you call him out he’ll get aggressive and defensive. He’s more akin to a slimy used car salesman than a reputable marine survivor.

Boaters, don't let this crook on your boats for survey at any cost !!! Demand a different surveyor. Extremely unethical person with very low professional standards. Paul Dupre is killing" deals to steal qualified buyers to... sell them his own or his buddies vessels on the side...!!!  Several people in the boating community later told me about his similar activity with their boats. Paul and Arlen have always been fair and easy to deal with. They have been kind to fit us into their busy schedule on a number of occasions with short notice.

Highly recommended. Paul has been great to work with. My 1973 Trojan needed an insurance survey and Paul took the time to point out little tidbits and features about the old boat that I didn't even know about! Would use him again any day.
