Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Fort St.John
I was there August 3rd 08:45 am, at the Humpty's restaurant on the Alaska Hwy in Fort St. John. I had just come off a long night shift , I was tired and cranky. I asked her if I could go to a table where I was farther away from other diners ( because of not risking getting covid as a security officer in an essential service) and she graciously agreed. I took table 10. She was quick to get me coffee which I so desperately needed as I would be up all day repacking and going out to a different location where I would do nightshift again running on NO sleep. I ordered the Cowboy breakfast. Two of each, eggs, bacon, Humpty RWA bangers and premium glazed ham. The eggs were done perfectly not too runny. I never liked overcooked bacon but theirs was perfect.I could pick it up and it didn't just crumble when I bite into it. I love their bangers. They taste almost like an Italian sausage with all the spices. The ham was slightly dry but I've certainly seen much worse. I was given a choice of a out 5 different breads for toast. There was what seemed to be endless coffee offered to me. Service was very good. She always seemed to have a smile on her face.i hadn't been there for a long time and had forgot about their food as I've been so busy and tired working long shifts with no time off for about a month. I will definitely be going back. Good job to the waitress I had. Very good customer service. She ought to get a raise. I truly hope that Humpy's knows just what excellent value she adds to their franchise.

This place is really good for what it is. It's a truck stop and is very consistent. Never had an issue. I would recommend it.

Fantastic food! Fantastic service!I arrived 11 minutes before closing, and they sat me and served me, dine in. Amazing. It's so hard to find a hot proper meal as a truck driver in Northern Canada. I cannot thank the staff here enough, for serving me so close to closing. Thank-you thank-you thank-you! Also some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had.

All was going well... Until my husband moved the last piece of his French toast only to find baked on chewing gum on his plate. When we said something, the waitress said the manager was coming in. The manager proceeded to call us Liars, stating that he cleaned the plates himself. The gum was baked on and hard. So it didn't come from us, he continued to call is Liars. I will never be back

I ordered the Meatlovers Skillet and was very disappointed. The food is not fantastic but it's enough to fill you up. Conveniently placed next to the truck stop for truckers though. Staff were quick and friendly. Quiet place to visit which was nice.

I like this place. Some might not. It still ranks high on my list. Nothing but great service and good food. I'm not originally from this city but every time I eat at this location I kind of feel like I'm home. If you're the type who is nit-picky and hard to please, there's other places for you to go. If you're a people person and can handle impromptu conversations with random people, this is your place. I especially enjoy when the elder members of our community meet here all at once. They're a riot to watch. I get a picture of the way things used to be and hope such a thing comes again with the new generations. Everything about this place takes me back to Sunday brunch after church back home. It's perfectly imperfect and doesn't need to be more. You leave with a full belly and a smile. Try it out. If you're like me, bring some tum's.

Well became somewhat homeless ,and between places to live. Not ashamed to say I was in a pickle. I was able to use services and they always gave me cold water when I asked. When I could afford something to order I arrived after closing time, needless to say they took my order and allowed me to wait for my food, thank you Humpties.
