Freedom Doggy Care

It’s cheap, but that’s not what I’m looking for in a dog daycare/boarding facility. Extremely poor communication, and just an overall sketchy vibe from this place leave me feeling unable to trust them with our very loved pooch. 1 star for the manager who seems better than the rest of the crew.

I feel like my puppy is enjoying with family and he also stayed few nights over there.. I can feel that he really enjoy over there… it’s very convenient and also I requested them to send me some pictures which makes me happy when I was away. Great doggy care…

I love the kennel free environment, comfortable spaces for dogs of all sizes, the great staff, and seeing the pictures of the dogs having fun posted on their FB page. I have two dogs, one is older and the other is a young pup, they get excited when we are a block away, and always happy and tired when I pick them up!

I was about 5 hours from home and my usual groomer when my dog suddenly developed really bad matts on his undercarriage, because he was chewing at them, they were making him sore and he ended up getting a hotspot. After calling 15 groomers I finally found this place. I explained to her what was going on, she said oh yes I can get him in right now. So we drove straight over, and when we dropped him off he jumped up and gave her a big wet kiss. So I knew he was comfortable with her.She told me half an hour… We came back, she was done and there was no matts left and he was actually walking properly whereas before he was having trouble walking because it hurt him to move his back legs. My dog was not pulling to get away from the place, as a matter fact we got partway up the driveway and he looked back like he was looking for her. Not only did they come to my dogs rescue, but by the looks of things they treated him very good. She could’ve easily ripped me off, because I wasn’t from this area. But she was true to her word with her quote.. not only did we give her the amount she was asking for, we gave her a $20 tip. I’m very fortunate to have found this lady next time I’m in town if I need her again I know she’ll be there for me.

The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They looked after my Daisy really well. She is not very sociable due to her age and needing special medication and cleaning of her ears. The staff took care of all that and sent me videos showing how my Daisy was during my trip. They even got Daisy to socialize with the others. I highly recommend these good folks.

Had my pup in here for 17 days while we were away. When I went to pick him up he was filthy and literally skin and bones. I received my soft kennel that I used to transport him there and the strap was chewed as well as a zipper. I expected my pup to be a bit dirty but not starved. I have now seen a Vernon Rant and Rave where a person had the same experience. When you are paid to look after someone's four legged family member you have to make sure they are eating. It has been 2 weeks and I am trying to put the weight back on him. I called my vet as well and it really sucks that they don't keep people's carriers in a closed off room. To fix that new carry kennel it will cost me $70 for a new strap and zipper.I think they might want to put in proper kennels to ensure all pets are safe

They actually LOST my dog, didn’t know he was missing for 3 hours or how he even got out ?? then text me 6 hours later that he was missing ! No phone call and total sketchy vibe, please don’t go through what I just had too because of Total INCOMPETENCE!

Very upset with this place. If I could give it zero stars I would. I took my dog here twice and the second time when I dropped him off he was terrified out of his mind when I was leaving there, and when I picked him up a few hours later he was the most excited I've ever seen him. This was a few months ago, haven't taken him back since. Today I saw the lady that owns this place, not sure of her name, at Heritage Dog park here in Vernon. My dog immediately recognized her and her voice and was terrified and was standing behind me, ears pulled back, tail between his legs. I have no idea what she did to my dog and it makes me so angry that she can get away with this. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Yes it's cheap, but you get what you pay for. My boy loves Wiggle Waggle and they will be getting my service instead.

We being our large Anatolian Shepherd here when we have to travel out of town. Georgina and her staff are amazing. Our dog absolutely loves going here. Very reasonably priced for overnight and daily rates.
