My wife and I decided to put our home up for sale back in November, so we contacted Simone Plummer from Tailored Realty Inc. The contact was professional, and she promptly provided all the answers to our inquiries. We gave her an ambitious asking price base on all the upgrades and quality finishes we had in our home. She respected our asking and went to work; on the first day of listing we experienced a few hiccups that dampened the hope and high spirit we had. Even though the issue was understandably out of her control, she told us not to be discouraged, and assured us that she will get it sold. This is the 1st house we've ever sold, and we came in with little to no knowledge of how the real estate market works. We believed that, as long as your house has upgrades and quality finishes, you can get whatever price you want. Simone negotiated well on our behalf while providing us with some of the feedback she received from potential buyers. As mentioned prior, we had an ambitious number in mind that we wanted, but none of the previous houses sold on our block have ever sold for that number, or even close. She sat us down and explained to us how the market works and the relevance of considering adjusting the asking price. She asked us to give her a number that we're comfortable with which we did, and not a dime below. My wife and I were also contemplating taking down the listing and relisting it in the spring, as we believe the winter cold and snow was affecting the sale. She asked us to give her 1 more week with the listing, and guaranteed us that she will get us the full price we're comfortable with. We decided to give it one more shot, 2 days later we were presented with 3 offers. After all the negotiation, we got a FIRM offer at full price. We feel the need to elaborate; Simone did an excellent job despite being told by another realtor that she would not get the price we were comfortable with because it would be a record for the area. Makela was the nicest and most comprehensive agent I have ever worked with. I have been working alongside numerous agents from 2020-2022 and have been having so much difficulty agreeing and finding apartments that are within the area I desired, the space, price and neighborhood. I had a wonderful experience with Makela!It was my first time ever moving out on my own so I didn’t know what to expect. She made the moving process very easy for me. I gave her my criteria of what I was looking for (ensuite laundry, two bathrooms, etc) and she was able to find me a beautifully designed condo in a very popular area! I live close to everything now!
