Cole Ritchie took care of absolutely everything from arranging storage, winterizing and wrapping culminating in the sale of my boat. He is professional and was a pleasure to deal with. I saw a boat advertised by North American Yacht sales I had my broker reach out to Cole as I was interested in the boat. Cole advised my broker he did not share a listing (commission) with other brokers so I had to contact him directly which I did. After a brief discussion back and forth we came to an agreement about price and conditions (survey and sea trial) The next morning Cole contacted me confirming the amount details and was writing up the contract for signature and would have it sent over within the hour. That day passed by and no word from Cole could not reach him at all. The next day he said he had so many calls on the boat and took a better offer to the owner (similar price but no conditions) I find that hard to believe maybe its true not sure The issue is he accepted my offer and said he knew the owner would take it from the time he was to forward the contract he had a better offer so he never sent the contract and took the other offer. I had my survey guy lined up and hotel room booked as this boat was in Montreal I had been searching for some time and acted upon this boat as soon as it was listed. There should be more rules and regulations in this industry similar to real estate after all the boat was approx. $400K Canadian certainly not chump change I would not recommend Cole to find or sale a boat of mine.thanksI understand your just a younger guy learning the business and will understand the importance of treating people fairly it usually comes with age Maybe it is just you being overwhelmed not sure with certain things, and my name isn't Gary that's funny I wont mentioned the broker that called you and you advised you couldn't work with him BTW the boat is still shown as for saleAgain I would never recommend you or your company in the future
