Perfect experience. We reserved the spot online to be safe. There were not much traffic onboarding today on a weekday. No delays and hassles at all. The tables and seats make me feel like being back to school. Everything met expectation. I had fido cellular service available all along the route. The only different thing I noticed was that the access to the car will be blocked during the crossing compared to BC Ferries.

Whether you need to cross the ocean to the island or not. Such nice crew on the ferry!!! We just go round trip for fun same day. Love it love it, food is so good and Cows ice cream is the best. Live music too!!! It's a nice mini boat cruise I say 75mins one way. 85 bucks for the car, 22 for passenger only round trip. It's good price. Everyone seems quite happy working there. Northumberland, thank you so so much!!! Coming back!!!

Bought tickets to travel from pei to nova scotia then had to change my whole itinerary because they canceled due to breakdowns. Had to then drive 4hrs to get to nova scotia to our next hotel. With as much $as they charge and how much is being lost they would fix it completely quickly

Enjoyable way to travel to and from PEI and NS. Only thing I don't like is the parking in the lower deck in the bowels of the ship". Very hot and airless waiting to get off the ship."

We had a pleasant ferry trip. No delays, no inconveniences, all good. The ferries are quite huge and have several decks for motorcycles, cars, SUVs, pickups, lorries and big trucks. On board you can buy something to eat, sit and watch the panorama or walk around (also outside).

The ferry is cool! I believe it was like 70 some dollars versus 50ish for the bridge (leaving P.E.I, but it cuts down the drive time and you get to be on a cool ferry. When we crossed there were no food/services open (after Labor Day) but it’s neat that they have them.

We were aboard a different ferry going to PEI than coming back. The first ferry may have been older. The passage was cancelled on the day we wanted to go, but we got there next morning.WOW, that first ride was bumpy, so much so that another passenger remarked, We hit a whale that time!" It was choppy outside

I've always loved taking the ferries between PEI and NS from the time that I was child travelling with my parents to adulthood and as a Professional Truck Driver for 30 years, it was always a nice little break from the road and have a meal with a hot cup of coffee, little did I know that I would eventually become an employee. I have been working at Northumberland Ferries now for 6 years and I really enjoy the company, the ships, and the amazing coworkers that I have the privilege of working alongside of everyday.Sure the bridge is there now for those who just want to get from point A to B and back again, but to travel on-board a ship of over 5000 tons of displacement is the ultimate maritime experience and rest assured, all crew members are trained Fire Fighters with extensive training at emergency drills twice per week, so you are certainly in good hands with these well trained professional ferry operators.

One of the best ferry exp. Be there almost 1.5 hours early if you are planning for free ride. The 1.25 hour journey is worth even if asked to pay
