Bowmanville Taxi

Let's see, this company is extremely unprofessional. I can literally give you a list of the issues with this company.1. Had a driver tell to put my cat (who was crated) into the trunk of the car;2. Had a driver lock the car so I couldn't get out when his debit machine wasn't working(that's entrapment and is extremely illegal);3 same driver as above also told me that I had to give him my credit car info(that's also illegal to ask for);4. I have gotten into the companys cars and they smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke;5. Have on several occasions asked that a manager or owner contact me in regards to my issues... not once have they bothered to try.6. Had a driver do 90 in a school zone why kids were getting out.The list goes on.. You would think that the owner would be concerned by the amount of 1 star ratings this company is receiving.Please don't get me wrong, there are fantastic drivers who have worked for the company. But the lack of action taken by the owner and management has ensured that I will not be using this company again. This is another person to go to uber.

Called 30 mins in advance to book taxi. No show even when I got confirmation that taxi is on way. Called to check again, taxi service said they gave my taxi to someone else.. what in world???

While I was in the emergency department I called the taxi company knowing I was being released within 10 minutes when the lady answered the phone she told me it would be at least 45 minutes. I was like why so long and she told me that they only had two drivers 1 was out on a call and the other driver just finished your call however it was apparently going to take 45 minutes how is that even possible I know how they need to hire more drivers way more drivers. After 45 minutes I actually waited an hour to be honest I called back and I asked when my driver should be arriving and that's when that dispatchers say to me, oh I'm sorry ma'am that driver got a family emergency and that there's not 1 cab available, I was livid needless to say So within 40 minutes I got a text message saying that my cab driver is on the way. I obviously couldn't be angry at the driver however I really feel that dispatch should have called me and told me that no caps were available instead of leaving me sit outside the hospital for an extra hour.

Had a person on the phone but an hour and a half wait at least until availability for Newcastle. Reluctantly used Uber.

Extortion rates uber is better. I was quoted 100 for orno to North oshawa where with tip and uber was 58. That's a savings of 42 dollars. I'm a fair person when it comes to supporting local but this will never give a penny to a company which practices extortion.

I had been here for a few days took this cab company a few times a day. I was at a gas station phone dead didnt know where i was and she said cant i just walk? Another cab came 6 min drive looked up 35 min walk on dark road as a woman u would think that is not safe ..... dispatcher is horrible. How could u say that to someone??? Then she said i didnt know it was dark its 10 pm .... i was so scared at a gas station not from here and she said that... even as a woman saying cant she walk there (35 min) im beyond upset :( i wont be using this company again

Driver showed up quickly. Was friendly to me and my child and with gas prices being so high I still found the fare to be quite reasonable. Nothing to complain about at all.

Called for a customer at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar.

What an awful company. Their drivers are extremely rude to both the people they are picking up and to those who are serving them on Drive thru's. I had an elderly woman just today waiting over an hour and a half for a taxi, and she called them twice. So either they simply left without using the common courtesy of seeing if the old lady needed help; called an uber and he was there in less than a minute. Do t waste your money on this company.

I have been using them for about a year ,never had a problem the drivers are all friendly and in good humor in these times cars are clean and there always on time give or take a few minutes ,keep up the good work.
