This review is solely on the renting agent Lori Ho. She has been extremely attentive on any questions I have had either on the units I was looking at and getting me through the application process. She is very pleasant to talk to in person also. She is keeping me up to date on the progression of my application.

Recently the building management seems to forgot their job duties of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the residents at the apartment. I live on the second floor of apartment #100 and the corridor smels like a garbage can. I have never seen the building maintenance vacuuming the carpet on the 2nd floor corridor . You can smell the pungent stink coming out of the carpets and you can even see dead coackroaches on the sides .You can see what I'm talking about if you check near the unit #212.Please clean the filthy carpet on the corridor especially at appartment #100 unit#212.

My husband and I had a great experience in viewing a unit at Avalon Parkway with the help of their Community Leasing Agent, Charley‑Jane O'Brien. She is very helpful answering our questions since it's our first time to rent in an apartment. She explained well the structure of a 1 bedroom unit and give us an idea on how a 2 bedroom unit will look like.

When I first moved in almost 2 years ago I had nothing but good things to say. Well now almost 2 years later I have nothing but bad things to say. I’m not sure if management has changed or not but they definitely do not care anymore. They don’t do anything about your concerns when you email them, and when you call the office they claim they will look into it but never do! The visitors parking and handicapped parking basically doesn’t exist because they are filled with tenants parking in them who don’t have permits constantly. The office doesn’t do anything about it when you call and email pictures of the cars. So if you want people to visit you at your own home good luck to them finding space to park. Also there has been someone living in the apartment building in the stairwell, garbage shoots and laundry room and they have done nothing about it, they just say call the cops but the cops don’t do anything anyways he constantly comes back. He is now smoking in the stairwell and garbage shoots and leaving food everywhere. I used to feel safe and now I don’t even feel safe in my own home!!! If I could afford to move out of this place I would but sadly I cannot!!! Please whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENT BUILDINGS!!

The building and apartments are nice but the client services are horrible! When I received my keys and went to take a first look at the apartment is was not cleaned at all and there were cockroach traps set up throughout the apartment (3 were caught). Furthermore, the second months rent was withdrawn from my account twice, and instead of promptly returning the money I was told that I needed to provided the cash balance of my bank account, wait for there accounting team to verify and then wait another two weeks for CLV Corporate to issue a cheque. These people will absolutely abuse you in any way that they can! BE CAREFUL BEFORE SIGNING!!!

This place is completely infested with roaches and nobody cares, it’s shocking to me. The management is lost, they don’t address your concerns. A non smoking building, and many other tenants smoke in their units, the floors reek of cigarette smoke. They turn the water off multiple times a month for “maintenance”. My dishwasher handle broke and never was able to get someone out to fix it. I could deal with all of that, but I can’t deal with the roaches. The building is infested, they’re in the laundry room, hallways, it’s disgusting. Do not sign here, read reviews before you sign.

No hot water for first month living here. earwigs and cockroaches outside in the summer that made their way in when cooler weather came. no WiFi conduit so our service provider had to drill into an external wall. a plumber entered our apartment while we were still sleeping. front door has been broken by tenants multiple times. paid visitor parking and no disability spots for visitors.I'm grateful for the utilities included, and the building being pet friendly. that being said, to have anything fixed in your unit, you need to harass management. General employees are lovely, but management is not good.edit 26/04/2023 you're lucky if management even responds to an email. office hours are 4 hours per week.

I've been living here for over a month now and while I have been happy with the apartment itself, the management has been repeatedly unhelpful. I'm not sure if they are stretched too thin or why my concerns have yet to be addressed after numerous emails, but it has been very difficult to reach anyone who can address various concerns that I have. Not only was my move in day extremely difficult, there also has yet to be anyone to reply to my concerns about this which is extremely unprofessional. For my moving day I was told they could reserve the elevator for me. I was not provided any further details and even asked for clarification but on the day of my move nothing seemed to be set aside or organized so that the elevator could indeed be reserved. Another resident later told me that they should have given me a key to lock to the elevator while we are using it to load and unload my boxes (you can imagine how difficult it was to try to keep the elevator doors open while loading boxes and then also having other residents try to use the elevator and therefore waiting for another elevator to arrive). On the day of my move I also learned that my key to access the main front door did not work, and when I could not reach anyone to help me, I reached out to the 24/7 Emergency Maintenance line which did not even ring but instead had an out of order message. I am just thankful I did not have an actual emergency like my apartment flooding that day. When I reached out to someone about these concerns, I was told the supervisor named Gerard would reach out to me but that he did not have a direct line for me to contact. This was the first week of May and I have yet to hear from anyone 6 weeks later despite reaching out numerous times. My last concern to mention would be that I have also not had anyone set up the intercom for me, even a month after moving in. So while my main key to the front door did not work for the first TWO WEEKS of living here, I also could not buzz myself in. I have emailed several times to have this fixed and it still has not been fixed. If I'm honest, this review is my last effort to see if anyone will reach out to me about my concerns. I hope other apartments are more helpful to their residents.
