I ordered the z original burger. Let me tell you, this burger was hot, the ingredients were fresh and the egg literally burst, because I completely forgot it was there. This is the best burger in Altona hands down. I'll be back that's for sure.

Quick friendly service, clean environment and delicious food. Had the ginger beef bowl. Portion and price were awesome!

Very clean restaurant from what I could see. The food was good but very small portions. If you have a healthy appetite, you may be disappointed.

The restaurant was clean, and service was good but the food was a different story! I could barley finish my meal and same with my spouse! The poutines were super tiny and tasted like it was covered in seasoning salt, my clubhouse was tiny and had an egg on it which might be good for some people but I was a cook for many years and I was disgusted by the food! Sorry to say we will not be returning!

There have been a lot of restaurants that have been in this building, and I hope this is the one that sticks! The service was friendly and fast, and wait times for food was minimal. Our table had the ginger beef bowl, the avocado brie melt, the fish tacos and chicken tacos. Everyone agreed that the flavors of their dish was excellent! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that everyone left a little hungry. For the price you pay, the portions we found were on the smaller side. All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal and we hope to come back to try more!

Had the chicken fettuccine...best part was the homemade noodles, very very good. Chicken was done excellent, soft and moist. Not enough flavour in the sauce for me, and garlic was too powerful for my tastes. Garlic toast was very good! Caesar salad was good.. dressing was great, but too much on the salad for me...next time will order dressing on the side. One of us had a burger and said it was good, another had a chicken burger and it was good,(not the thick crunchy type you get at the fast food places)a thinner crunchy patty. The fish and chips were a pit sketchy, as the breading on the fish was thick and tough. This dish needs some work. The side salad with house dressing was fresh and crispy, very good. Presentation was well done making the dishes look very appetizing. Our second trip to the Z was as good as the first trip, and we noticed consistency, so there is a good effort for quality control of the dishes served. This is very good as dishes need to look and taste the same each time or be improved on. Everyone liked the fries,(I prefer home cut) although most wanted more as there were not that many served per plate and chicken fingers were good also. Poutine - the gravy needs much more flavour. Rice bowls had excellent presentation and had great flavour, were very much enjoyed, well done! Their icon burger was very much enjoyed. The pasta dishes needed more flavour and were overwhelmed by the garlic flavour. Blackened chicken tacos....could not taste the blackened flavour at all, but they were still very good, as the chicken was soft and moist. Again, presentation with the rice dishes, pasta, and tacos were well done making the dishes look very appetizing. Service was excellent. Had to ask for extra water several times, so a jug of water on the tabel would be nice. Took approximately 45 minutes for the food to start arriving at the table, but it was worth the wait. Atmosphere since the day this building opened has been cold and bare, and it still remains the same. It needs a professional make over. Some of the cold overhead lighting has been changed to warmer lighting which has helped. This place has potential! Look forward to trying another dish.1/5/23 ordered takeout, rice bowls, Ginger beef, chili chicken and chicken curry. All were deemed excellent! Veggies and meats done just right. Veggies still slightly crunchy, and chicken moist and tender! Would prefer to have no breading on the beef.. fried up or braised beef no breading is the best these days. Surprising to me is that it has been consistently so since the day they opened. My conclusion.....the owner must be the chef.....no one looks after food like an owner, as an owner in heavily invested, and wants customers to return. And fortunately for us customers and Altona, he knows how to cook well! This chef does not cook out of a box or frozen bags. How many small towns can say that?1/18/23 ordered chicken quesadilla with a salad. Very Good!Quesadilla was tasty, well done and crunchy. Salad was excellent. Fresh with a variety of greens/veggies. They are doing it right here. They are paying attention. Thank you!2/10/23. Breakfast….std breakfast any restaurant is pretty basic and tastes the same in my books. So I ordered the basic, eggs over easy, sausages and hash browns. While waiting had the coffee which tasted better than most Restarant coffee, more on the darker side. Food came about 10 minutes later. Presentation was good, filling up the plate it came in. Food was nice and hot, had not been sitting on the shelf like so often happens in restaurants these days. Hash browns actually tasted fresh although not sure if they were. Eggs and sausages done like ordered and brown toast was great. Sausages had a real good flavour. Overall I would rate this breakfast just above others in town.Stylish tasty food... would be good to see the man wearing a baseball cap snd apron, delivering food, rather wear a stylish chefs outfit or something to match the awesomeness of this restaurant.

I am convinced they put crack in their food cuz it is so good and I am utterly addicted!!! Chicken and Fish Tacos and Spaghetti were so good but they don't even hold a candle to the alfredo sauce... the philly steak pasta and chicken and mushroom alfredo were unbelievable (still drooling just thinking about them)!!! Not to mention the staff are always friendly! We had a group function there with 21 people and they handled it amazingly, well equipped to handle the group and everything came out very timely. Can't wait to go back!!

Stopped in for takeout while in town. Got the steak with garlic shrimp, mashed potatoes and veggies. Food was nice and hot when I picked it up and were nice sized portions. Menu had a lot of tasty options.

Really good breakfast buffet on Sunday! Mix of regular breakfast items, also had eggs Benedict which was unexpected and good! Enjoyed the lunch options as well. Also had supper another day and had the ginger beef which didn't have much meat but still tasty.
