It used to there were local restaurants in back home with a warm and friendly environment. It is very seldom to see the same in Great Vancouver! They used to made foods ready with their specific recipes by using organic and local ingredients to make the taste unique and it is something that hides behind Day to Day! A nice name with a good chef, high level customer service by friendly personnel, good ingredients, and then a warm friendly space. when all those come in one place it gives you a good result!A good tastes which gives you joy! But it is not the all! The price for each portion is fair and each portion is generous! They also give you a crispy Tahdig( crispy bread slightly fried under the rices during the cook) on the side, and they do it generously too!Today I took my guest(my mother) there and as always we got a good service and then the waitress provide a good service to make us happy but also later the real gentleman chef and maybe the owner came and checked with my mother to make sure she is happy with everything! My mother and myself were very impressed and happy with quality and the service!Thanks Day to Day!I need to bring to your attention that after the lunch as we were very happy we decided to walk in to other side for their grocery store and we also got the good service there too!Also today was Saturday, and if you come during the week they bake very tasty and unique Afghani bread not exact but similar to Nam and Barbary but in high quality!

great food quality, one of the best Afghan/Persian foods in town. The Barg is tender and quite delicious. The quality for Koobideh Kabab varies a bit but overall pretty good. Very nice & friendly staff.

I stopped here out of curiosity after getting my lashes done (shout out to lapis lazuli) and to my surprise they not only had a vegetarian dish but also some great non alcoholic beers! This eggplant dish is creamy and flavourful and the bread was very fresh. I got two beers and this dish for $10 and the dish is two medium hungry servings, or one big hangry serving. Yum!!! Will be back!

Day to day has recently started their takeout kitchen. We tried three of their menu items: Koobideh, Soltani (koobideh + barg), and Vaziri (koobideh + joojeh). Their rice is among the good ones in Vancouver and this is quite a compliment! Koobideh is good: not too dry and not too greasy either. Barg is okay but it isn’t really barg; I’m not sure what it is but it definitely isn’t filet and doesn’t even look like one. Joojeh is a bit bland but it is cooked right. Oh probably the best part is the food containers! So sturdy and high quality.
