I have been coming to this studio for a few years now. When covid hit I was happy to continue through Zoom until it was safe to return in person. The vaccine passport allowed me to feel safe returning in person. Thank you Kristy for allowing us a safe place to exercise and keep our mental health strong. If you are looking for a Pilates studio that makes you feel like family, you’ve come to the right place.

The Barre has been a game changer for me. My body felt broken when I started over a year ago and now I am now stronger in my body and mind. Kristy and Emma are great instructors and I like that the studio has regulars who all seem to know and care about each other.

Best place to practice pilates in London! I love how small the class is, 6 people per class. The small size class is a great opportunity for me to learn the correct technique, after 5-6 classes you can really feel the difference in your body and physical strength. I have tried different types of workout and I box as well but so far pilates is the best full body workout. I find it really focused, it really fires all the muscles in your body, not only the superficial muscles but also the deep muscles and this is the difference between pilates and resistance training. Kristy, the instructor at At the barre is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her clients so I definitely recommend this studio:)

bought hundreds of dollars in classes that 'expired' because it was closed for covid... when i returned to try to sign up for virtual or private classes, i was told by the owner she would look into it. SHE DIDN'T.. never heard back from her. weeks later, I emailed her and said I was disappointed and she replied as if she hadn't even heard of me. All she had to do was look at the previous conversation we had by email. Since she isn't doing live classes, she must have time to read an email and look up my account. I am out hundreds of dollars and i am thinking of getting legal help to get my money back . I loved the classes - a small studio so i'm quite sure it's easy to keep track of such things especially since it's all on line in our accounts. It's been months and if she cared at all, she would have looked it up by now.. disgusting.

I have been a client for over a year now. I love the variety of classes, the atmosphere and the feeling after a class. Very knowledgeable instructors, and always willing to help out everyone in the classes. The small class size is an added bonus.

The worst fitness studio I have been to. Not friendly at all classes are extremely hard to follow along with unless you go all the time and the instructor wiyh tell you to pay attention to others instead of trying to help you. They canceled my class a few hours before because “not enough people were registered in the class” and they did not even care to call me they sent me a one line email. It’s a good thing I checked my email.I show up tonight and there no parking. It’s funny they take away your class if you cancel within 24 hours but they have no problem canceling on you.Would not recommend I felt extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable the whole time. Compared to other studios that are very welcoming and friendly this is not it.

Best place to practice Pilates in London! I've been going for a few years now and am amazed at how no two classes are the same. Kristy always has new, fun and challenging exercise! I started taking classes/practicing pilates At The Barre with Kristy just over 2 years ago, after being in a car accident a year earlier, and I quickly became obsessed! There is something for everyone (every-body, age, fitness level etc.) here, whether you are looking for pilates (mat/reformer/cardio tramp classes) or barre classes. The atmosphere in the studio is fun and inviting, and truly is a judgement free zone. I love coming here, not just for the awesome workout (it might look dainty..but if it makes Sylvester Stallone sweat that should tell you something!), but the mental side to pilates keeps me grounded. Also -- location right off of Richmond Row, free parking, daytime/nighttime weekday and Saturday classes are HUGE bonuses!

I stated going to the pilates studio after my physiotherapist suggested that it might help my injuries.I was surprised to find I was the only guy enrolled in at the studio at the time but I was quickly put at ease by the owner Kristy that I would be a welcome addition.. and honestly it was so true Kristy keeps atmosphere at the studio so amazing and as well as the physical benefits I’ve gotten from the Pilates studio. I’ve also gained some mental well-being. And I find the classes a good release after a hectic workday. Emma is the other pilates instructor she is amazing and has added a lot of new challenging exercises to the studio. she also takes the time to make sure you are doing the exercise correctly with the proper form. She even talked me into trying a Matt class that I ended up really enjoying.Everyone at the studio is very helpful and I never feel out of place and I feel I have made a lot of great friends.I have been going for almost 2 years now and I am in probability the best shape I have been in a long time..So if your a guy or a girl and looking for a new workout you should definitely give the studio a try
