Sadly its not like it once was but still as it always has been. It was Friday. The big change back to open until 1 or 2am. Taxis were unhappy with not knowing. Kitchen closed at 10. And there was no table service. It was like watching a Bar Rescue preview with no John Taft. DJ was boring and played old tracks like AirForce Ones". Mainly 25 and disconnected. Nothing has been invested and it shows. In the end I got a good buzz and saw a few old friends. Can't wait to review the competition..Why are restaurants and pubs and transportation not thriving in Truro with the apps such as Uber

this place is actually disgusting. Warm and very humid, sticky tables potato skins tasted like it was sitting there for 2 weeks and just reheated the wings where covered in oil and grease smelly and gross not to mention the washrooms where far from clean. 3 words to describe this place: sticky, gross, unappetizing

The waitress was either having a bad day..or a bad life. I felt uncomfortable each time she came to the table. My food wasn't too bad , but one of the ladies eating with us found a hair in her coleslaw, anothers fries were hard and not very warm. The poutine was made with cheddar..which was a unique choice. Doubt we will go back.

How can you mess up a burger and fries. Seems they can by using precooked frozen patties that were tasteless and dry. Had to tell the waitress 3 times what I ordered and she still got it wrong. Wings were not great to say the least and the fish was greasy. We did not try the pizza but it looked good, guess we will not find out if it is or not since we will not be back. This used to be our go to place.

We arrived and it said to seat ourselves, two other groups got there a couple mins afterwards. Both groups orders were taken before us and their food was there before ours. My partner bought a pizza, toppings were good but the dough was undercooked and very chewy. I got mozza sticks as an appetizer and the breading tasted bland with no seasonings, but the size of them was fantastic and the amount of cheese inside was great. I also ordered a AAA steak and it was tough, bland. The mashed potatoes were delicious and so were the onion rings, the veggies that came as the side were undercooked and cold when I got them. My partner fries were delicious and burger was good to them. The waitress who served us was rude and took forever to get to us with the receipt. Other than that service was good. Music was lovely, and the general atmosphere was nice. Not sure if we will go again but I thought I would leave our honest review.

A old relic in Truro. One of the longest lasting bars in Truro that has been around for at least 40 years that I am aware of.During the day, the bar is a restaurant with decent food served all day and most of the evening. Decent service too.Friday and Saturday nights this place is often busy as a bar.The crowd that goes is aimed at a younger demographic and can be mixed ages time and time again. Typically a younger crowd most of the time. The seating plentiful, open areas to sit and see the dance floor. Easy access to get drinks. Billiards tables and vlts down back out of the way along with the washrooms.Typically house dj music, bands come not so often. You will find tipping the bartender will get you drinks quicker lol.The big table in the middle of the walking area near the bar, I do not know what purpose it serves other than being in the way most times. Would be cool to see it be used for some sort of competition like arm wrestling or a carnival game/ restaurant game where you can win free food or drinks. After hours ( closes at 2 AM ) the taxis are in full swing, the pizza joints and McDonald's are busy.An old school bar that I am glad to see hang on and still be around. Good to see decent crowds still go out and have fun. I hope it hangs on for another 20 years. Maybe it will expand and get bigger !

I'd probably give it a 2.5 but it definitely wasn't a three so a 2 star it is.The staff were friendly but the service wasn't great. Our order was super disjointed arriving at random times, with the apps that were supposed to come with the meal arriving with the meal and the other dinner arriving 10 minutes after the first one.The food was pretty good. The donair pizza and onion rings were good. The wings were meh.
