Kilally Meadows Environmental Area
Great place for a walk!Enter by Northridge public school and head southwest along the river and you will find several kilometers of trail to explore along the river or through the meadows. Part-way in there is a picturesque wooden bridge over a creek but watch as this area is prone to flooding. Some trails are hard-pack dirt and rocky, which do get muddy when wet, others are gravel and there is a paved trail with an entrance at the 3 way stop at Glenora Dr and Glengarry Ave which is bike friendly and exits behind the Tin Cup mini golf at the end of Windermere east of Adelaide St. Large network of trails along opposite bank of river as well, from River Valley off Highbury Ave, through to Kipps Lane and beyond.Look for Dear, birdwatch, identify tree species, see the ducks and geese or simply escape the city to soak up some nature. Many neat spots along the river to navigate, and fishing opportunities to explore. Rock bass, sunfish, carp and the occasional walleye can be found in these waters (and more!)This was the place to be during the pandemic lockdowns. Aside from the frustration felt when you find some idiot has left their coffee cups and litter in the woods, there's a lot to enjoy in this large city of London E.S.A!
