John Cabot Municipal Park - Dry Camp Site
It’s very pretty. Slightly different from other shorelines. Beautiful drive to get here. And you learn a bit about John Cabot. For the amount of effort it takes (10 minutes north of bonavista) and the reward you acquire (beautiful views with prospect of whales). 5/5.

a nice little tribute park to one of the earlier Europeans to land on Newfoundland.

Beautiful, windswept area with good parking, and a fitting memorial to the historic arrival of Cabot.

Can watch whales feeding here in season and just up the road is the lighthouse and gift shop!

Small Municipal Park out by the Cape Bonavista Light House. When whales are in season this is a great spot to go whale watching.

John Cabot - This is such an important historical site for North America. It is worth the trek to visit this location. Make sure to see the Puffins at the nearby lighthouse and the replica Matthew (Cabot ship) in town.

Municipal Park sounds awful ... But it isn't. In reality it's just the statue of John Cabot and a commemorative plaque... set in the surrounding landscape. Simple and stunning.
