The Rockfort Authentic Chettinadu and Indian Cuisine
Visited the place as we were looking for a South Indian food near downtown . It was around 15 mins drive in the lunch hour . Nice place and welcoming people. Lunch combo with Vada and dosa is my favourite at a goof price as well . It’s a good sized dosa and Vada for a meal . Price is reasonable as well . I’ve visited couple times in past few months just for the combo .

Swung by this place for a quick bite. Had their Rockfort Masala Dosa with sambar and two very flavourful chutneys. Excellent service. Loved their open kitchen concept- you can actually see the dosa being made in front of your eyes.

Great place to dine in for authentic South Indian food, especially chettinadu style food. The spice levels are apt and the quantity was also good. Me and my family will definitely go again and overall nice experience.

Food was fantastic, Chicken vindaloo lunch special was delicious and portion size and price were great value. Service was a bit lacking, only one person working front of house and kitchen during lunch hour. Would definitely come back to try other options on the menu!

Good South Indian place in SW Calgary. They have good lunch specials. Also stopped by for dinner and tried dosa and chicken lollipops both tasted pretty good.

I would like to send a new review each time.Absolutely mouth savoring Delicious every bite, every taste, every spice, ingredient combined in the Heavens.Absolutely Delicious, served nice hot every time.It's Cozy here.It begins to fill by 7pm.I think everyone becomes a regular, and their are many families, with children on Sundays.I have taken pictures of each of the owner, and the ladies that serve, each time and always pictures of our dinners.Here are just a few from today.

Being a north indian i enjoy having authentic south indian food. I find their food toned down in spices and authenticity. If you prefer westernized version of south indian flavors, you may enjoy it.

Service was welcoming and friendly, decent pricing and good food with good quantities. One star less as the chutneys could be better and could have more dessert options.Tried the following -Podi idli - 3/5 - expected more podi on the idlisChicken dosa - 5/5 - must tryWadas - 4/5 - 3 wadas in 1 plate, were crispy and freshChicken lollipop - 5/5 - perfectly cooked, nice and juicy and very thin crust of batter. 8 pieces in 1 plateWill definitely recomnend

This place is one of the best South Indian restaurant in Calgary.Food is really delicious.Before visiting this place , I heard they have really good Paneer dosa, when I tried it, it was really one of the best.We tried Paneer dosa, Rava masala dosa, idli Vada combo and chilli paneer. Each and every item was really tasty.I recommend trying paneer dosa and chilli paneer.We also tried tea but it was not up to the mark. The tea they serve is powdered, not fresh.
