Food, atmosphere, and service--all 5 stars. We were served by the owner who was friendly (and bilingual); she informed us right away that they didn't sell alcohol (BYO only). We indulged in food instead; we tried the soup of the day, fish & chips, and steak frites, topped off with coffee and lemon meringue cheesecake... everything was phenomenal. Very tasty tartar sauce and aioli served with the fish & chips. Everything was fresh and made in house; you could tell. The restaurant was completely packed and every person in there was having a great time. Very trendy and cozy environment with rustic wood tables and modern light fixtures. Highly efficient (and clearly well-trained) staff came by frequently. I would definitely return (and bring a bottle of wine next time!). Thanks for a great meal and great dining experience.

Great food, great service! Only downside is the music genre seemed to change constantly, it was a bit confusing for the atmosphere. Will definitely come here again. Loved it ☺️

Positive: nice environment and steakNegative: loud funk songs, no alcohol/wine/cocktails, the waiter wanted to go home and told us to leave the restaurant at 20h40. I'm completely disappointed.

Very disappointed. Our reservation was at 6:00pm we received our main plate at 8:30. UNACCEPTABLE. Do not recommend this place. Too pricey for the food they serve. First and last time here!

I had some not so great experiences in this restaurant but last night that all changed. The food and service was awesome from start to finish. There were only 2 servers (they were supposed to be 4) and the restaurant was full. The wait time was longer than usual (but obviously totally expected and accepted), that said the service was impeccable, professional and very friendly despite being short staffed. The new chef and his team were amazing. I had the salad, soup , fried calamari and beef cheeks with parsnip purée. Every bite was close to perfection, flavours, presentation , and all hot meals came out at the temperature you’d expect. I was so amazed I had to go say thank you to the chef and his team who did an amazing job. I wanted to ask the whole restaurant to toast the servers but got a bit shy (lol). My only regret is being too full to try their desserts who are all made at the restaurant. They also try to source locally when possible. Knowing all this, méchant steak is now back on the menu as one of our favorite « go to places » , merci encore!

I chose to eat a signature dish and had high hopes based on this restaurant being a steakhouse.. the meat was great and the sidedish as well however the wisky sauce was extremely bitter. I tried very hard enjoying my meal but it was underwhleming. For a 45$ plate and 3$ extra for fries, one would expect more attention to details and flavor. All around a friendly place with good food. Will probably give it a second try but stick to the cheaper meals..

I called for a 7:30pm reservation. The waitress on the phone asked, borderline insisted, if I could do earlier instead because they wanted to close early since no customers had made any reservations. We agreed for 7pm. As I was about to hang up, she heavily sighed as if it was such a burden.I later called to cancel as I felt the service would be bad given the service I received on the phone.I went to King Hall Alexandre instead and it was the best service I've ever had.

I like this spot for casual dining and lunch. I like their fish and chips as well as steak / frites. I like the western style decor and I have always had good service there. Also, very good fries.
