Mountain View Resort and Suites

Loved the amenities. The pool was awesome and super clean (definitely the highlight). Beside the pool this hotel is super outdated, the rooms had a very strong musty smell, the mattress was not comfortable at all it was so springy, I found a beetle on my bed, there was a bunch of spider webs in the room. If the rooms were great this would be an awesome location. But the rooms/hotel needs a lot of work!!!

200$ for one night, took 30 minutes to get checked in waiting outside for service at 1pm. All amenities are closed at 8. Rooms smelt like Marlboro Reds and old liquor. The pipes are banging all night long with the faint sound of children crying and mice breeding. Really felt like home.

I will give 5 start rating for this place. We spend 2 nights in Thanksgiving long weekend and had a absolutely great time. Want to thank you all the friendly staff including the management for friendly support they gave us. Kids had a blast at the waterpark and staff was so kind to let it run extra 10-15 minutes until our children came out of the pool. Staff recommended what places to visit during our stay and that was very helpful as we were able to plan our trip very wisely. Don't forget to go the natural hot springs 17km on the gravel road but it's totally worth the drive. We got a suite with kitchenette and it helps to make our food during the stay. There is not many places to eat other than a subway and a pizza place so recommend getting a suite with a kitchenette. Highly recommend with five stars.

Had a great stay here!! The rooms were decent, they were very clean and we had a great view from the balcony! The pool is super fun especially for little kids (also a great view from the pool side). Staff was super nice and the restaurant was delicious! I didn’t have any problems while staying here. Would stay again!!

This place is amazing the front desk is very friendly and their rooms are clean. The pool was amazing specially when it's empty feels like private resort the kids enjoy it a lot. Definitely recommended and coming back.

The kids loved the pool, it has a big water slide spray park and two big hot tubs. The pool is heated!Rooms were dated, however they are big and they have good sound proofing which made up for it. We had views of the golf course. It was nice to sit on the patio watching people chip on the green.The staff were very friendly.The kitchen could use a little more items to help with cooking.If we are ever back in the area, we will be booking here again!

We had an excellent stay for 2 nights! The room was well set up, the patio was great for hanging out and all furniture was comfortable. It was very clean. We have a young child and it was very easily baby proofed for exploring! The pool was sooo fun! In the heat of the summer that water park would be an absolute blast.The only thing stopping this review from being a 5 is that the room could use some minor updates and blackout curtains would make a world of difference. The exterior lights of the hotel stay on so the slats don't really keep the room dark enough at night. If you have kids that need a dark room I would suggest bringing something with you to set up.It looks like they are getting a few more food options which would be great, a very close walk to the Riverside golf course and a short drive to other amenities including a great cafe. Overall a great stay and will be back!

Great location and outdoor pool. Needs a little TLC. If it was updated and cleaned up it would be perfect. Great location and friendly helpful staff.

This place has a lot of potential and I believe they are working on it being so much better than it currently is. Right now they are short staffed as we were told at the check-in desk as our room was not ready at 4.20pm upon our arrival. We went into the fast food section of the restaurant to wait. As we have young kids our plan to cook their dinner in the apartment went out the window because the room was not ready. Burgers were delicious though. While having our food we got a call at 4.40pm from reception to day the room would be another hour.At this point I went to reception and told them that with 2 very young kids I needed my room sooner. The gentleman I think called Patrick went off to try and sort something, at 5pm they had a room ready for us so only an hour delay. He apologized numerous times and stated they are currently short staffed.The room was great, clean, spacious, a little dated but perfect for what we needed. I think price reflected the older place. Balcony was quite dirty and could really do with a power wash. So many bird stains and spider webs everywhere. Around the property bins remain overflowing overnight and smelling the hallways of the units, again likely due to staffing issues but they do smell with the heat.The pool area is really great and so much fun. Definitely this places unique selling point. 10am opening time is quite late though. We will go back just for the pool area.Overall, this place was great for us. If we'd paid 4-5 star pricing I'd be more frustrated but we paid 3 star pricing and this is fair. I believe once staffing issues are resolved this place will get so much better. We will revisit

We had a great visit at Mountain View Resort. The room and pool were both extremely clean and the kitchen had everything you'd need for an extended stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The resort is very kid/family friendly. Highly recommend.
