CARSTAR Sackville

This place was recommended by my insurance. So went here solely because it was close to me. Big mistake. Avoid going here.I was in an fender bender in March and need a new rear bumper, 1 tail light and all the clips and brackets to hold it. Car went in in July, was told 3-4 days, a week went by by nothing. I phoned up to I inquire the status of my car. Was told they forgot to order a tail light, 4 +weeks to get that in. So zero communication about this to me. 48 days it stayed with them. Someone was not doing there job correctly and didn't order in the parts back in March which you can clearly see from the pictures, a broken tail light.Once everything was done. Got the bill noticed alot of unnecessary work was done, like removing and installing the factory badges and names. These where on my trunk which was 100% untouched from the accident. This was done to Jack up the bill which was being paid by insurance.A plastic wrap was laying in my trunk, zero communication as to what to do with it or as to why it was not installed. (it's a protective cover for my bumper)Short.Bad job at ordering part. - 1Little to no communication with the customer. -1Unnecessary work done. - 12 stars.

I wanted to document a very bad experience I had with CARSTAR sackville.- I visited carstar on Oct 17 and got my car diagnosed for collision repair(this workshop was suggested to me by economical insurance).- I was told that parts will reach in 2 weeks and they will call me to book in for repair.- Till date(Nov 17) I did not receive any call, I called them on Monday(14 Nov) and they didn't pick up. I left Voicemail. I reached out to insurance adjuster and they left VM on Nov 15(Wednesday) to call me back. still no one called me.- I called up today(11/17) and spoke to a lady at the reception - to my surprise she told me that there are 35 customers ahead of me and they haven't even ordered my part because they do not have space to store them in the workshop.- I asked, wasn't it their responsibility to tell me that when i first visited or even after two weeks as they promised, but to this she replied it is not her problem.- When I said that had it been the case that before you informed me, I could have easily gone to carstar in Halifax or somewhere else and saved my time.- Then she said in that case you will have to give me a written authorization to cancel the order and we will charge 20% - again she lied because at the very beginning she said they didn't place my order.On top of this she was very rude and straight away disconnected the phone on my face.Is this the kind of agents you have who harasses customers?Please escalate this to your manager and the highest level possible , this is an insult to me which I will take very seriously.

Quick professional and honest. My repair was gonna take a while due to slow shipping on parts they were honest about expectations and did their best to help

I’m late with a review. My car was towed here by insurance. After waiting months to be fixed, the headlights never worked the same. They were bright white and replaced with dull yellow. One headlight points down, you can’t see more than 10 feet in front of you or the shoulder of the road. I curse Carstar every time I drive it

If i could give this place a zero I would. My car was towed here by insurance. After waiting over a month to get it fixed. I was informed that the my car battery was stolen out of my car while it was parked in their lot. Further, i was told i had to pay for the new car battery. Few months later i was told my car would be ready by the start of Dec. Its almost half way through Dec and i have received little to no contact from the CARSTAR.Terrible customer service. Would not recommend

Rear Ended Insurance Recommended Car Star , Great Front Desk Customer Service , Be Ready To wait Truck Parts Take awhile ,NOTE : If I knew it was gonna Cost Close to 9k there Shop fee and Parts ,I would have Taken a Payout and Done it myself ,See Pictures ,Be Safe Be Well

Tom McKay and his team has provided me top quality service over the years. I will only take my car to him anytime I am in need. The sweet has been exceptional.

The body work they did to my car was phenomenal but that's about it... my car was returned to me absolutely filthy, the entire inside has a fine powered dust (hazardous?) which I had to get my car detailed to remove it all, so much over spray on the windows I couldn't see out of them even after I scrubed them a dozen times. My car was suppose to get an alignment done but a month later and scalloped tires I decided to check the dash cam footage... my car was left running for an hour outside the shop before being driven back to carstar, no alignment done. Thank you so much Carstar for the great service repairs to my vehicle. I was so pleased to step back in my car. It was nice and clean on the inside and outside. Even looked like you gave it a wax! One very happy costumer!

Took my vehicle here for a repair on my tailgate. It looks absolutely wonderful, staff was very nice and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend this repair shop to anyone I know.
