Ok to good taste, good portions, prices seemed reasonable but I'm not a local.Tried one of the standard marinated beef and shrimp chang fen, plus the egg custard buns during lunch.Texture of the Chang fen (rice noodle) was good, though it does come in one big piece rather than two narrower pieces. Shrimp taste was good, texture could be firmer. Beef texture was good. Both (or perhaps one of them) had a little baking soda taste common in Chinese cooking.Would have liked the custard in the buns to be more liquid vs the paste type of texture.

I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for good dim sum in Chinatown; all of their dim sum taste amazing. The food was excellent, and the choices on the menu were great. Prices are reasonable. Service was fast, and the staff was friendly.This would have been five stars if only they would take orders in person talking to guests. You have to select a dish and write it on a piece of paper and hand it to staff - it leaves new guests with no chance to ask servers what is good and what is recommended on the menu. Otherwise this is a very very good place and I would like to come back there for dinner.

Stumbled across this little gem when we were in Toronto, Canada and it was exactly what I was craving for. We ordered Hong Kong Style churn fun, Vegetarian Churn fun and Fried dough churn fun. It was quick and delicious. Prices was reasonable and the sauce was the highlight of the dish and the dough was thin and smooth. Definitely a must if we are ever in Toronto again.

10 out of 10. Cheap, tasty, authentic with great service. We spent total 20 dollars on food for two people. The porridge is a must try if you come!

If you want something a little different than the usual dim sum, this is the place to go. Fresh rice rolls are the go to item to order. My favourite rolls were the beef brisket, shrimp/ pork and fried dough HK style. I really enjoyed the frozen HK milk tea.The curry fish balls were very good. If you love a little kick in your food, order this.I wish there was a little more variety. Service was fast. If you pay cash and dine in, there's 5% discount. Takeout is 10% discount if you pay cash.

The congee are quite nice. There is lots of meat in the congee. The congee base is flavourful. The restaurant is bright and clean. Washrooms are clean. Opens very early at 8am.

Super tasty rice noodle rolls. They're so soft and with the sweet soy sauce, it's a perfect dish. There's different kinds so you'll never get bored. Open early as well for a quick bite before work.

Great food, dine in area very busy. Lots of delivery orders going out! This is the third time I came here, first two times I came with friends and watched them enjoy as I was too sick from hangovers. Today I went in good health with a big appetite! Portions are generous and the prices are GREAT. Food is pretty greasey but to be expected. I enjoyed every bite.

Good cantonese rice rolls and congee place in downtown that opens till midnight everyday. Congee is big enough for 2 people to share. The washrooms are surprisingly clean! Staffs are very nice.

Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉 (Downtown)
Really good congee and cheong fun. The cheong fun was fresh and the shrimp in the shrimp roll were huge. The congee had a deep flavour like it was simmered in broth, not like some other places that are typically bland. Congee was something that I ate as a kid, and as an adult, rarely ate it until I had the one at Yin Ji Chang Fen.
