I have been ordering meals for my dad since my mom passed away in 2020. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Great variety of meals and desserts to chose from. My dad loves the meals and I am grateful for this service as I do not live live locally.

Was worried it was going to be bland old folks home food, but it's pretty good, I got two frozen cabbage rolls, while the cabbage wasn't as tender as it is with homemade, all the spices within the roll and the tomato sauce were on point though, might come back

We picked up food at the deli. Delicious and cheap sandwiches and desserts. They also do a premise meal delivery service. We wish we knew about them sooner during our recent stay in Sidney. Top notch!

Very good place to get a decent meal without paying a lot. Can't go wrong:ENTRÉE ONLY – $8.25MAKE IT A MEAL – $11.50INCLUDES ENTRÉE, CHOICE OF 1 STARCH & 2 VEGNew menu every week.We visited to take out near the end of the day, so not everything on the menu was available. There's a place for a few people to eat in, but the place is more for take out.Good quality food; the portion is okay.The meals were cold (they were prepared the day before), so we made arrangements at the hotel we were staying for plates to heat the meals (the meals come in aluminum containers that you don't use in a microwave).Many other restaurants in the area are quite expensive or are fast food.

Great value for money and good service. Ordered two turkey dinners and they were delicious. We both have large appetites so I wondered if there would be enough food but the meals were a decent size. Follow up call to confirm our order was appreciated and meals were ready when we arrived to collect.If you want no fuss meals at home you should try Chef On The Run!

It's a little off the beaten track, but it's worth trying out. I've been there a few times recently. We got some great custom made sandwiches. On one trip, we got some of their meat pies. They were really awesome. They have a good supply of meals: both fresh and frozen. They also have a nice little of grocery section of deli staples.

Chef On The Run
Ever since I was discharged from hospital a couple of yrs ago, I have relied on this place to deliver my weekly meals. They have never missed a meal, nor an order, always met any special requests. All this, despite having to take a ferry & drive up & down lanes far from the madding crowd. I feel very fortunate that this place exists for those of us who need such a service.PS I forgot to say they come to Salt Spring every wk without fail. How they have achieved this on our pot holed roads & lanes is almost inconceivable.
