We hired Avan Patel to photograph our engagement session, and wedding in October 2018 and could not have been happier! Right from the start Avan was punctual and eager, both in meeting with us for our initial consultation and with providing us some truly amazing photographs.My wife and I are not comfortable in front of the camera, however Avan’s calm, yet fun, demeanor allowed us to be relaxed and actually have a great time during our engagement session and during our wedding. Looking back at the photos that Avan delivered, he captured our day perfectly! The photographs are authentic, natural and candid.Avan clearly cares about his clients and has a passion for his work. Just prior to our engagement session, we had found out that one of our aunts was terminally ill and would not make it to our wedding. At our engagement shoot, we asked Avan if he could send us a few photos that we could send to our aunt for her to enjoy. By the time we got home, there were two fantastic photos waiting for us in our inbox. This speaks to the type of person and service you’ll receive from Avan.If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, engagement session, etc. I would highly recommend Avan!

Choosing Avan to shoot our wedding in April 2019 was the best decision we made. Right when you meet him you can tell that he is passionate about his work and cares deeply about his clients. We had about 3 weeks to plan an impromptu wedding (due to an illness in the family) and Avan made everything as easy as possible for us -- he was always responsive, timely and listened to what we wanted. He was also very calming and reassuring, which was extremely important on such a hectic day. We had terrible weather for most of the day, but Avan made it work and he even stayed an extra hour at the end of the day to make sure we were happy.We were also impressed with how personable and friendly he was. Avan made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera and we had an amazing time with him throughout the day.I couldn't have been happier with our photos-- they are raw, authentic, and just absolutely stunning. Avan is a talented photographer that I would highly recommend!

If you want an photographer who is truly passionate, dedicated, and who is able to just capture the most beautiful and most timeless images, well Avan is THE guy.My husband and I had had several shoots with Avan in the span of one year starting off with an impromptu shoot, to our engagement shoot, and ofcourse our wedding day. Such a talented photographer all around - his attention to detail and how he is just able to capture every moment perfectly in his own way is remarkable. On short notice, in a pandemic filled year, Avan was able to shoot our wedding and create an entire portfolio of beautiful photos that we will cherish forever. Avan was accommodating, professional, and his book of work speaks for itself! He was very fun to work with and it felt like he was a part of the wedding party throughout the day and night which made it very easy to capture candid photos. Avan is talented photographer. We had him shoot for our engagement and wedding photos they turned out beautifully. He captured the moment and was able to take many flattering images of the guests and special day as well.He was always communicative, on time, on budget and provided more service than expected and presented himself professionally.After several horror stories with other photographers we are very happy we went with Avan.

I am leaving this review as I have not used Avan’s service yet however I would like to thank him for believing in me and gifting me a camera some years back when he did not know me at all but was working at Henry’s and not only helped me and educated me but also gifted me one of his old film cameras so I could film on real film roll. I have used the camera many times and whenever I have the money to afford film it is my go to for pictures both professionally and personally as film is just so beautiful, flattering and striking.I’d like to say thank you to Avan for his continued commitment to film in general as it is struggling these days however for people like myself it is true hope and a true light to know Avan is doing what he’s doing.For anyone considering film instead of digital - you’ve made a lasting and beautiful choice in such a world that we live in! Avan photographed our family (of 12!) on Christmas Eve 2018 and it was such a wonderful experience. He was super friendly, easygoing and patient, especially with the four young kids in the group on a snowy day. He captured my vision and family perfectly, both candidly and posed. We loved every single photo he took and recommend him 100%.

I am so glad we found Avan to document our wedding. We got someone that understood exactly what we wanted. We wanted candid photos of the day documentary style and we got exactly that.He made us feel so comfortable during the initial shoot and our families enjoyed having him shoot the event.
