I started the process of Renovating my backyard and driveway last September, and I booked for April of 2020. With the pandemic, I needed to push back to August and they were happy to accommodate. Maria from Action Paving gave me the vision and support I needed in order to complete my goal. She gave me a multitude of ideas to get past my blocking, and I am extremely happy with the product I’ve been provided.I got my back shed pad, patio, stairs and driveway done with action paving. It was a huge job and they were up to the task. they showed up when they said they were going too, they completed the job when they said they would, and worked hard throughout the whole process.The price above all else is one of, if not the best in the city, I looked at 6 other companies before I made my decision with Action Paving. I would definitely recommend action paving, to do any style of job you may need done, big or small.

First Google review I have ever submitted. Action Paving and Concrete (Hamilton Ontario) is definitely worthy of breaking the ice. I give this family owned and run company an A++++++ rating! I have been trying to book Action for three years because of their quality of work and reputation but when I waited too long each year they ended up being booked for the season. GREAT sign of a reputable company. Al, Maria and their two sons are the most hard working, friendly, hands on contractors. That being said, my work consisted of removing my nasty interlocking driveway, and walkways and replacing them with concrete and asphalt driveway, super wide concrete walkways to the rear yard where a patio was also laid, front entrance and stairs to porch widened, plus small porch extended to full width. Pretty extensive project. Their attention to details was very apparent in all aspects of the job. LOOKS PHENOMENAL !! Cleanup also way more than I expected. Thanks again to Al, Maria (the real boss lol) their two totally knowledgeable to the business sons & plus the two helpers that were there picking up the balance of the many duties. When I first called Action Paving and Concrete Ltd. In the Spring of 2022, I was told that they were already booked for the rest of the year. They were my first choice, and I was disappointed. I did get a quote from another company, but when my neighbour, whose driveway abuts mine, backed out, so did the paving company. They said it was too difficult to cut the asphalt and install a curb between the two driveways. No problem, they weren’t going to get my business anyway.I called Action Paving again, said I knew they were booked, told them I would be willing to wait until 2023, and asked if they would come and tell me if they could do the work the previous company said was too difficult to do. Maria showed up the next day, said they could do the install, and we agreed on a six-inch raised curb between the two driveways, a flat curb on the lawn-side with a cement pad in front of the front-porch steps, and asphalt paving in between. I also hired them to re-pave my mother’s driveway a few blocks away.Maria called in mid April 2023, and we agreed on a start date. Al, and his two sons, Telmo and Brian, showed up on schedule, cut the pavement between the two driveways, removed the old asphalt then did the same at my mother’s house. They then dug out and framed the curbs on both sides of the driveway. This is a family run business and their work-ethic and the pride they take in doing what they do is evident. I have never seen a group of guys work so hard and so efficiently. They know what they are doing, and they don’t waste any time.Shortly after they started to pour the concrete for the curbing, it started to rain. That didn’t phase them. Out came the long rolls of plastic and as the concrete was being poured Telmo crawled under and applied the finishing touches. He barely came up for air. The curb on the lawn-side was flat and slightly sloped towards the driveway, which was a nice touch. When I removed the glued-down rug from the lower front step, a piece of concrete broke away where the iron railing post was positioned. Al went above and beyond and repaired it. It rained so much over the next few days that it took two weeks for the driveway to dry out before paving could begin. That was scheduled for May 11. Action Paving brought a few extra crew members with them to help lay the asphalt, and it was installed and graded to perfection. They then finished the paving at my mother’s house.I am glad I waited a year for Action Paving to do the work. It was worth it because I have the satisfaction of knowing that true professionals did the job right. Maria handles the estimates and the business side, Al, her husband, and their sons, Telmo and Brian, take care of all the rest. And they work very hard. This family-run business gets a 5-star recommendation from me. Keep the coffee hot, and everyone will be happy, especially Maria.
