Central/Eastern Standard Time Zone marker
This is a good spot to stop by and take a rest while cycling. There's picnic tables and a toilet, but no drinking water. Also, there's no food store around, so plan well in advance. Most trucks stop here, so it could be noisy. The sun sets really late since it's the beginning of the new time zone!

Was nice to finally find a place big enough to pull in with an 18 wheeler and have bathroom facilities and a few picnic tables.Nice little place that has a sign indicating the boundary between eastern and central time zones. I will be marking this spot as a rest spot for future trip down this highway.Sept 2022 update:They have an actual building here now that is heated and real toilets and sinks.Huge upgrade from the couple outhouses that used to be the only choice other than going in the woods.

Very nice new bathrooms at this rest area (the stainless steel toilet seat is a bit chilly on the caboose). Not much in terms of picnic or grassy areas, but a good place to stop for a washroom break.

Sadly not well maintained. The outdoor trash bins are all full. This toilet has no toilet paper or soap. And filled with trash. The other toilet is clogged and filled with fecal matter. Too disgusting to post a picture of it

Good rest stop. Was a nice break for us after we nearly got clipped by a fella hauling a camper trailer as he weaved in-and-out while attempting to avoid oncoming traffic. We were in a long line of traffic with lots of semi trucks and other vehicles. Why the hurry, is there a need to race to a campsite?Anyway, a great place to take a break :). And we were very glad not to encounter an accident scene thereafter. Stay safe and take a break:)

Great rest stop. Very clean washroom, cleaned twice daily. Stainless steel toilets are not very comfortable but help with the feeling of cleanliness. There's also a covered picnic area and sign to take pictures with.The instructions for stopping from westbound could be clearer. Currently there's a small minimalistic sign 1km before the turn, then a generic picnic table sign leading up to the turn and another tiny sign at the turn. Maybe make a slightly bigger sign?I really like that there's a left turn lane though.

This is one of the better stops for a bathroom along Hwy 17 between Thunder Bay and Dryden. They have installed a new washroom that seems clean. Not a bad place to stretch your legs.

This is NOT open in winter. They don’t plow it and you can’t stop here. However it’s a great place to stop in the summer and fall
