It's an amazing thing that the staff here are doing. They are always friendly and you can really feel that they are passionate about the animals in their care. Please, if you are considering adding a pet to your family, take a look at some of the beautiful animals that are here waiting for you to pick them..... Even though we all know, they are the ones who pick us

Me and my partner adopted our cat Scarlett yesterday from Aarcs and we couldn’t be more pleased. Not only is she the perfect cat for us the people working at Aarcs are incredible. They are so welcoming and friendly. We are recommending all of our friends to go to Aarcs to adopt a pet.

We have now rescued three dogs from AARCS in our family and we love them all. They're all momma dogs who came from reserves with their puppies and now will never have to have another litter. We also volunteer for AARCS and highly recommend adopting from this rescue!

I am in love with the new AARCS building here in Edmonton. They have started in Calgary and I have never been but heard it is as nice. You walk in to see all the cat rooms filled with new cages allowing them to go throw doors to each cage. They have a nice selection of goods for sale like sweaters, masks, calendars, mugs, and many more especially magnets that so many love. And they have every color and size of sweater that many love, as they are a super nice material and you are supporting the animals as well that way too. You can donate there and bring in used kennels and many other dog or cat things just ask the staff upfront and they will let you know. They have a bunch of dog kennels in the back, which are quite big and they can have access to the other kennel by a side door if there is no other dog or a playmate. They take sanitization extremely seriously and that was great to see. And everyone is willing and ready to help from the staff who are extremely knowledgeable in all things animals and if not they will find you the help, as well as the volunteers who go through many different classes of training to be able to help out. Some are fosters and can help with many first-time dog owner's questions and I noticed that they will keep in contact via email.Check it out and take some time getting to know the animals and if you can maybe take one home to a furever home or look at many of the available volunteer opportunities. I couldn't give this place anything other than five stars and dare someone to challenge that. You just won't find friendlier people ready to help and support your journey of adoption or looking into volunteering. They will follow through with all you need and help in every corner of every process.I hope this helps you all and hopefully helps you get into the thought of a furever home. Also, I donate monthly to help and you receive zero pressure to donate more or again. They are just thankful for every penny.Good luck and looking forward to reading everyone's comments on their time with AARCS.

We got our first cat, Chepstow (right), here a few months ago and went again to get him a little sister, Brimley (left), a few weeks ago. Love this place, you can tell they care a lot about their animals and everyone is always super helpful!

I had the most amazing experience at AARCS North Haven adopting my wonderful cat, Paws McCartney aka Sulley. The staff were amazing. They went way past the call of duty to help me in every way. I have been in rescue for 40+ years and this was by far the most welcoming, helpful place to visit and pick up my amazing boy. They made 3 follow-up checks as well.I have said for a longtime that AARCS is the new humane society for Edmonton. I can't wait until they can add dog adoptions in Edmonton. Kudos team wonderful!
