Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar

My first time eating here. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. We ordered the spinach dip for apps, for main course we ordered Ribs and Shrimp, Ribs and Chicken and a Peach Bellini. The food was delicious. Our waitress Elaine, was super attentive, recommended some stuff and made our anniversary extra special with writing happy anniversary on the plate. The atmosphere was nice and quiet before it got busy. Loved the meal and will definitely make sure to come again. Thanks Elaine for making our night special.

Used to come here a lot, great to see the quality has not changed. Everything tasted really good and service was good! Ribs and chicken tenders are my go to, loved it!

Wife and I went for our anniversary, food was served in good time, not forced. The prime steak was absolutely fabulous, as was were the sides.As a treat to help us celebrate we were brought a fresh cookie with ice cream and a chocolate drizzle. Truely amazing thanks

It was a fantastic dining experience. The staff were quite warm and very welcoming.The meal was awesome, can’t wait to get back there soon!

It was not a good experience mainly based on the food and drinks. Waitress Sarah was awesome. She gets a 10/10 stars.Pros:- We got a table immediately, no wait. We went around 5:30pm on Monday June 12 2023 (party of two)- Love the fire feature inside the main dining area- The hostess at the front door and our server Sarah were kind, greeted us kindly with smiles and had good energy and vibes.- Was very impressed with the Octopus for two entrée. Delicious and a nice serving for the price.- Great Ceasers! Delicious- Lobster was fresh and juicy- My friend did mention the Ribs were amazing. His wife's was always #1 and now his favorite is Baton Rouges.Cons:- Bathrooms were not well kept. Little messy and either water or pee puddles was on the floors. The bathrooms smelled like cold stagnant water and pee. Just like how a cold, old, unused basement smells.- We were served utensils, made our food order and went outside for a smoke. We came back and got our food shortly after coming back in, but the food sat on our table for 5-7 minutes after being served, because..while we were outside another waitress took our utensils and I think gave them to a new table that came in beside us. We had to wait for our waitress to come back and ask for utensils.- The strawberry daiquiri is NOT a strawberry daiquiri. It's HORRIBLE! I am a huge fan of daiquiris, I buy them EVERYWHERE I go. Theirs gets a 0/10 it was liquid water, with artificial strawberry flavor and liquor. It was hard to even finish. Disgusting!- We asked for a Ceaser salad. We got lettuce and croutons.. no dressing at all, no cheese in the salad. It was not impressive or good.- The interior was nice but a bit outdated. The fire feature in the main dining area was nice but the inside could use a remodel within a few years or less.- No crab legs at all as an option.- To expensive for the food and subpar experience. I really expected much more guys!I will forever go to The Keg!!The Keg is always a 9.8/10The Keg has better selection on food, better prices and I never had subpar food there.The washrooms at The Keg are like walking into a luxury spa or a luxury Mansion. Their washrooms are beautiful and smell good. Very warm and inviting.The Steak is so much better at The KegThe Keg serves authentic delicious drinks, including daiquiris. Their daiquiris are thick, icy, and they taste like they use real strawberry in their drinks. Their to die for!We spent about $250-$300 on our visit to Baton Rouge yesterday. That inudes a $50 tip for lovely Sarah our waitress.To be honest, upsetting experience. I wanted to have a good experience. Was excited for my first visit to Baton Rouge. Not at all impressed.

Tiny 36 dollar bavette steak. Did not represent the picture on the menu that showed a lovely long bavette steak sliced into 5 or 6 pieces. Chimichurri sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. Fork placed next to steak for scale lol.... Like maybe 4 oz when cooked. Flavour just OK... vegetables on side where lazily cut into massive pieces of undercooked pepper and courgette... what do you know?... completely overserving on the cheap elements.... value terrible. Oh and please get rid of Pepsi products they are disgusting...

Made reservations for early evening with the family. Were greeted at the door by the hostesses and brought to our table. Our waitress was very prompt and on point. Started with some Espresso Martinis. There was a dinner special for selective appetizers, main and dessert. Caesar salad,onion soup were the apps. Main course we both selected the Top Sirloin with shrimp option. One with baked potatoes and the other with truffle fries.Took out desserts home as we were full and had them later in the evening. Great service and very clean. They had the fire place going and was extremely cozy in there, so wear light clothes when inside.Great job to the kitchen staff as they cooked and prepared everything to a great standard. Like if you agree!

Great stopover between Detroit and Montreal. Nice atmosphere, great service, and good food.
