Day shift is fine. Night shift is beyond terrible. These people ALWAYS ruin my night. They just left me standing in the rain for 20 plus minutes and wouldn't even take my order. They were inside ON THEIR PHONES. one guy was pretending to wash the tables while STARING AT HIS PHONE. The only good reviews for this place are from people of Indian descent. Conveniently the people working there are of Indian descent. Clearly there's alot of fake reviews. Don't be scammed by the scammers. I'll be sure to stay away and take my money else where.

Okay, I went there twice this night, I was super hungry, was super nice to the person who was taking the order. Wanted to share the burger with my friend, I simply requested them to cut it in half, but it wasn’t fulfilled. Only giving 3 stars cz we were hungry and food was good. The order taker in the drive-thru sounded rude and frustrated. A&W really needs to train their employees in terms of customer service.Sorry guys, do betterThanks for the yummy meal tho

Fast and Great customer service . It is very well maintained even in the toughest locations of the city . Kudos to the team for doing amanzing service . Beyond meat burger with extra spicy sauce was just beyond best.

Despite being in downtown Nanaimo (junkie central) this place is actually a bright spot. Hot, fresh food and really, really great staff. Pleasantly surprised by a fast food joint.

Hands down worst service I’ve ever had. The meaning of fast is completely lost on these people. Consistently expect to wait outside for up to an hour while they mimic the pace of the second coming of Christ.I witnessed the cashier tonight ignore a line of roughly 20 or more people while he. One by one took a single order would go chat with the lady while she made it then proceed to ignore the window for 15 minute intervals. Only reason I even bothered buying anything was because I stood there for an hour to regain feeling in my hands because I hoped the guy would just do his job.

I am a regular customer of this store. The quality of food is always at the top but there’s one new guy Brar. I really liked his service and the way how he treats customers. Love this place.

Never in my life did I think I would get lost in the sauce. My burger was so saucy and delicious that I had a spiritual reckoning. Thank you Victoria Creacent A&W! My life is forever changed.

Onion rings are to die for. If you get them ask for extra seasoning and spicy chipotle mayo it’s a game changer!! Nice staff and the place is well maintained compared to other restaurants in downtown Nanaimo.

Don't forget to take your potato peeler as not one potato is peeled. Ugly skins on every potato.Poor service.The fries were stale , refried , the chicken strips were refried, only burger was fresh .Wasted $58 . Am a tourist in Nanaimo , Served on tissue paper. Which tears with the ketchup. Horrible

Teen burger was good. Haven't ever had A&W in Canada and arrived late so saw an opportunity. Kind of rough area with a lot of weirdness going on (really inebriated customer reciting adhoc poetry about his member, etc) but cashier/manager was unflappable and provided great service.
