Ram River Tours - Ram Rides

The one hour ride was amazing, could’ve go for 2 but time consuming. There are also half day and full day ride. They took the experience to the next level. Their staffs are really friendly and is knowledgable, answers to all the question I have. Love it when we get to cross multiple rivers. Definitely will come back!

We had the best experience in the Ram river valley. We were greeted with smiles and a lot of knowledge about saddles, getting to know your horse. I have horse backed with alot of companies and this experience was by far the best. Thank you again we will be back !

It was a fantastic experience. We had the pleasure of going horseback riding to the lakes with Shermane. It was a very authentic trip. The horses are extremely well trained and Shermane did an excellent job coaching and guiding us. We felt safe and comfortable at all times. We can truly recommend it to everyone. Way better experience than back in Europe.

Ram River Tours is a piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere. We have been going there for few years now and we love it. The location is very peaceful, they have 3 log cabins on the property with everything you need: wooden stove, beds with linens, all the cooking utensils, plates and pots, outdoor fire pit with all the BBQ gadgets. Dry firewood including kindling is there for you. You wake up in the morning and the horses are wondering around with their bells ringing. No WiFi or cell phone reception which makes the place even more enjoyable. The staff is very friendly, they will accommodate all your horseback riding needs. If you are a beginner rider or advanced, they will make sure that you are comfortable on the horse and they are always ready to support you on the way.

Today my husband and I ran out of gas because we had gotten lost and didn’t have cell service. Luckily we were able to walk to Ram Rides and the staff there helped us. We are so very appreciative and can’t wait to come back out to go on a trail ride and stay at one of the cute cabins! Thank you so much for saving our anniversary weekend!

I enjoyed being able to spend a weekend with the family out at Ram river tours. They are awesome people, and the cabin was so comfortable! I recommend it to anyone who wants to be around horses. The country side is breathtaking, and the privacy is there. The people look after your every need.

Our family had an amazing time on a 2 hour ride this weekend. The horses felt safe and were obviously well cared for and loved. The trails are beautiful and interesting (I won’t spoil it for you with too many details!) I hope to make it back again and again. Thanks guys!!

To start with we went on a 3 day pack trip. The horse were well looked after and the ride location was lovely. There was a hammock. There left alot of unknowns until arrival. The tent was a regular old tent no stove or anything for heat. Cots were provided. No drinks are provided the water is from an untested stream not too far from where you are suppose to go to the bathroom. The bathroom is a squatters lou.Main meals are provided but very small and repeated meals. Snacks are not provided and dietary restrictions are not their concern so you must voice those on your own. They have some 60 litre water proof bags for your things. There is no place to swim none. Fishing is in the pond at the bottom of the bathroom creek. Or a small rocky river. Do not expect good service, you must tell the guides constantly what you want to do and when you are hungry. Multiple Rides are not without work, again you must ask. The wranglers keep to themselves and do as they please while you sit around camp, bring cards and a book. Do not expect any conversing with the staff they pretty much ignore you. Do not expect them to be happy when you ask to go for a ride and interrupt their fishing or visiting amongst themselves. Do not expect anyone to ask you if you enjoyed the trip as the end or ask you to come back. Do expect to be rushed off the property. Do expect them to bring their dogs around the horses whom clearly do not like the dogs around them. As a group of 2 both our horses were startles by the dogs and reared up more than once. Be prepared as a rider this outfit is not ment for unskilled riders for the pack trips, stick to day rides for beginners or kids. Do pack tall boots if you want to walk around camp or to the river their are alot of rough bushes to hack through. Do expect the horses to Wander back home and leave you horseless for hours while you wait for them to get wrangled back. Do expect if you are the last pack trip of the season for them to leave you sitting around camp for hours while they pack up camp completely for the year. Do not expect to have much of a say as your opinion will not matter.We did speak to the owner and got a bit of a deal. But the bad taste is still there.

Little slice of heaven! Great horses, great company, great views, cozy cabins, always a great experience.Will always return here whenever I get the chance to get away from city life.I went to the kids horse camp as a young teen and cannot wait to one day send my children there when they are older.Highly recommend!
