Harbourside Dental

For someone with a dental phobia, I feel at ease coming here. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The staff are super. The front staff are always welcoming, the dental hygienist hums to the music and the dentist is patient and efficient. If I have to go to the dentist, this is where I want to be.

My visit was so wonderful to me!! I have such a difficult time getting a cleaning, because of sensitivity, I actually had my cleaning done in Sydney, while sedated, the past 2 years. This time I did go to my regular hygienist, but she was away. The hygienist filling in was so, so amazing!! She did the cleaning so wonderfully, and painlessly, I could not believe it!! Thank you soooo very much!! Cheers

I had the best hygienist. I have very sensitive teeth and I had no pain at all. Super happy with my visit.

May 29, 2023 - My bill was $338!! ....for 1 front tooth filling. And it was the second time Dr Petite fixed it. The procedure took about 10-12 minutes. To me, the administrators at the front desk knew it was expensive and they both commented that 'other places' charge even more. I just called 2 other dentists....Northside Dental and Sydney Mines. They both said that my procedure appeared to be expensive @ over $300. They said that some dentist charge extra if they state that the tooth needed to be fixed from 'all sides' ....absolutely crazy. It's obviously legal, but I don't believe for one second that the dentist has to charge you what they charge you... there's no question that a lot of the charges are discretionary. You would think that marketplace would do a story on dental charges ... they make customer feel that their hands are tied when it comes to the bill...they come across as I know it's expensive but its worse elsewhere. Needless to say that I am done with Dr Meaghan Petite @ Harbourside Dental. Has anyone ever heard of a single filling costing $338?

My boyfriend spent over $900 having work done that was recommended, both times the fillings chipped and came out - once on the SAME DAY.The dentist seemed very disorganized, insisting we should have gotten a cap instead- which she did NOT recommend either of the times.She denied ever having done that, and suggested maybe if we were regulars, she would have!Unprofessional. Waste of money. Waste of time.

Excellent service. Found the problem and it was as I suspected. Referred for dental surgery promptly. Meghan Petit is a lovely professional and the desk person was great. Great experience.
