Someone I know reached out to them about a haircut and explained they were nonbinary and would need a barber to cut their hair. Apparently the coordinator did not know what that was and was very invalidating, saying/assuming that they needed to see a hair dresser instead and refused to listen. They said they would talk to the manager and called back and eventually offered a haircut in a rude tone. They created such an uncomfortable experience for this person who’s already in a vulnerable position and no longer wishes to use their services even though they are needed. Please educate your staff and create an actual welcoming space.

They are really good people and ready to help anybody. You don’t need to explain why you need assistance, just make an appointment, go there, and you are good to get your desired help. No need to the entire family, just one member is enough.

I go too hope house for mainly hair cuts and other free things like getting income tax done maybe once every 2-3 times a year for groceries I just really don't think it's right that some can buy beer and smoke with there welfare checks but there all the time with both hands out!! I worked all my life from 15 too just recently can barely walk And have heart problems thank goodness for elevator lwould never be able to use steps l think the staff is super great!! and very helpful But really sad some take advantage of the help provided for all

Great help for the homeless community consisting of clothing donations, food, and breakfast every morning from Monday to Thursday. Staff are extremely polite and professional.

Best Public Service Agency ever !!! Wednesday breakfast always hot and delicious and free!! Frequent noon hour lunches, creative and filling. So many special programs: Food pantry, clothing bank, haircuts, free tax filing, (thanks for that). Free coffee and tea all day. From Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30pm. One of the foundations of our community. Giving generously. Inclusive of everyone. A fountain of valuable information. You people are simply the best !!
