Really welcoming store and restaurant with Caribbean and Ethiopian food. The grocery section has lots of cool products to check out (shea butter, Ethiopian decor, seeds and nuts etc) but unfortunately the food did not hit my sweet spot. The owner is friendly and relatively service was quick for takeaway. I had the chickpea roti and whilst the curry was okay the roti was very dry and generally the dish seemed overpriced. Perhaps I should have tried something else on the menu!

As others have mentioned the corn soup is good but for me, its nothing special. $6.50 for a small soup? Veggie lentil patty is $3.50 each? Did veggie prices double in 2020? I can get a beef patty for a $1.25 and I know beef prices went up. This places is priced as if they were a high end restaurant downtown. Bolgto might have made you popular for the soup but I wont be back while your overcharging. Randy's and Tinnels patties are better. Any Caribbean store making corn soup is just as good.

A humble storefront and very warm hospitality with maybe the best mixed Ethiopian veggie platter on ingera that I've ever had. Quite honestly I was a bit suspicious at first, as it seemed more of a tiny store than eatery. Served on a plastic plate, each of the three veggie dishes were precisely seasoned and not overcooked as many dal and collard greens can be. The owner served us hot herbal tea and Ethiopian coffee, even heating up the whole beans in front of us.

This place is amazing!! Alex is the best! This is African Soul food. Real food with real ingredients that leaves you feeling full and nourished. They have authentic etheopian groceries, good quality authentic spices and traditional plant based health products that work like a charm. They have exceptional Etheopian coffee roasted right in front of you with home made bread!A must go!

Excellent place. It's a grocery store and a restaurant. We love Ethiopian food in general and this place did not disappoint us. Plus it's vegan, so what else do you want? There's no dine-in, so you can get a takeaway. Not sure if the place delivers. We went for Vegan Roti Curry meal and savory Samosa. Both of them amazing. Samosa can use a bit less oil. The Curry meal is definitely recommended. Good enough for two people. The staff was great and friendly. There's street parking outside which is paid.Overall, highly recommended!

My friend and I went for a walk along Danforth the other day, and I saw this place was vegan so I had to check it out. Nice little shop to look around in, and the staff were very friendly! We decided to get the plate with 4 options so we picked the macaroni pie, jerk tofu, kidney bean stew, and eggplant. The food was fresh and flavourful, and a lot of it was new to me! Never had macaroni pie before but I loved the flavour combination of whatever spices were in there (I definitely tasted some mustard and that brought it all together). The kidney beans had a creamy coconut milk sauce that balanced really well with the pie. The jerk soy was sweeter than I expected, but I loved it. My friend, who isn’t vegan, said it was his favourite thing! I really enjoyed the variety of all the foods. The two ladies working there were very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice conversation with them while the food was being made, and they gave us some injera bread with an amazing sauce to try while we were waiting! I don’t know what the sauce was because I’m not too familiar with Ethiopian food, but it was red/orange, rich and flavourful.I don’t live in the area, but I will find an excuse to be back!

Ordered the Twice as Nice Peas and Rice plate with Jerk Soya, ital stew, and eggplant delight, plus a corn soup. The platter was really good, especially the soya jerk, the rice and eggplant. The soya jerk was so flavourful. The corn soup is on another level. It's very different from the Chinese-style corn soup that I'm used to, but it was such a good flavour. It has a very pleasant campfire taste - difficult to describe, but it was really good and hearty. The dishes are a bit on the expensive side, but it was a special treat, and it's a bonus that everything is fully vegan.
