Oshawa's hidden gem for a lot of fun for a very reasonable price. Went with 2 kids (4&9) on a sightseeing flight over Toronto. They were super professional and made sure we were all comfortable and having fun. Our pilot was awesome and the whole experience was fantastic. Can't wait til the fall to go again and see the trees.

I booked the instructional flight for my 10 yrs old who is super passionate about airplanes.This was his first Covid 19 summer break and we wanted something memorable for him.It was a blast for sure.Everybody was very professional and nice. Booking was fast and efficient.The instructor was knowledgeable and friendly.My son’s comments after were “ this was the best think I ever had in my life”.Hope to repeat and go furthermore with the lessons!Thank you all at Durham Flight.

Amazing center and flight school. Kevin (the CFI) kindly helped me to get setup with an instructor to get my checkout rides done and to become a regular renter. Luke Rahm (my instructor) flown with me for couple of checkout ridges, I found him to be extremely calm, professional and passionate about his job. All these qualities made for an overall pleasing flying experience. Dispatch folks were all polite, professional, and helpful. DFC takes care of its aircrafts and their winter-op is really comprehensive. Other than covering the lift-generating surfaces with covers (over night), but they also spray the lift generating surfaces with necessary fluids to melt any potential ice that may have formed after the covers are removed (preflight).

The school is run by inexperienced newly minted instructors who are simply clocking necessary hours just to be able to get out of there. This means that there is no consistency in the training, nor a common minimum standard.Their apparent lower prices aren’t really so. And all their aircraft are junk. Two of them drift either right or left. One has had radio problems for months. One often doesn’t start. And that leaves just 2 decent aircraft.Bottom line is that you end up needing way more hours than you would at a school with standard operating protocols, and proper aircraft.The staff is apparently polite, but are not really helpful nor understanding. The only way you’ll have a good experience is if you get an instructor that is in the good books of the management.My guess is that the school is not really making good money. So they tried weird things like shortening the booking slots, which left everyone, instructors and students, scurrying and not learning anything. And now the fights are consistently late in returning within the short time slot and the next is always delayed.They used to be a good school. But they do need to get their act together. Exploiting a sudden demand only goes so far, because soon after high demand comes high supply and competition, and then substandard businesses perish.

Took my dad for a sightseeing tour for Father's Day. He had a great time! I was nervous, but our pilot Greg was so relaxed and kind. I would love to go up again!

My son learned to fly Durham Flight Centre! I am so thankful for everything you have done for him. He now has a wonderful career and incredibly happy and you helped him get to where he is today. I can't say enough good things about your company, and I am sure Mitch feels that way too! At just shy of 28 years old my son now fly's 767's and absolutely LOVES his job! Thank you DFC!

Started my PPL at Island Air but switched to DFC on a recommendation, and I couldn't be happier. Everybody from the manager, dispatcher and all instructors are really friendly, accommodating and professional. It's a superb learning environment. The aircraft are well maintained and in good condition, and the instruction is thorough, easily understandable and overall it's great value. I'm currently training with Johannah and I'm extremely satisfied with her knowledge, instruction and communication - So far every flight and ground briefing has been great and I look forward to completing my PPL and beyond here at DFC.
