Used Enable Community’s services last year and was not impressed. They found a match for me fairly quickly and we were optimistic. However, upon working with the respite worker and looking back on her resume, they were inexperienced with children with ASD. After finding out that the first worker had quit after two weeks, I was disappointed to find an email from the founder Sue Crawford where she explained that they were not able to find any further matches for my child as “they feel that your child’s needs are more complex than they could safely manage. Both have declined to move forward.” I felt really terrible and hopeless hearing that from them. No Mom wants to hear that.Lastly, this agency’s business page and website does not have a phone number to call to talk to a person, everything is through email, so if you wanted to understand the company or have a human connection, it’s not enabled. Ironic.

As a special needs parent, it's been rather difficult to find care that suits budget and needs. I was recommended Enable by a separate organization and they were quick to respond. It took a month or so to find someone suitable and we had a meet and greet. The young lady was very sweet but had absolutely no experience and seemed a little grossed" out by my disabled son's behaviors. Not a biggie
