Solterra Development Corp.

I’ve lived in 4 different units built by Solterra. They are a fantastic building company - on trend with thoughtful and detailed design. It can be hit and miss with their tradesmen though. Their seems to be an urgency getting the job done and things can be missed or finished insufficiently - however Solterra will come and fix the problem which keeps the bar on customer service high. There are a lot of nice people at the top level which is great to deal with.

These guys have very low standards of quality. Don't expect the warranty to cover anything. JOKE

It's like no one uses a level when building for Solterra and their site supervisor doesn't care and neither does the company. Drywall paint flooring were all a disaster on top of visibly crooked walls and floors. Don't buy from them.

If you like the ceiling clasping while you sleep. Then buy a condo from these cheap builders.

I don't know how they good starts before. I live in one of the buildings they manage in Burnaby and we have been requesting cameras in the common areas due to Property damage. Someone has been breaking the mail boxes for a while now. We have addressed this problem to the asset manager that shows zero interest in helping the situation by saying that they're not going to install cameras but get the mail fixed. This problem will continue until they fine out who did this and the only way to do so is by installing security cameras. They don't care about the people living in the old buildings as long as they get paid.

House was built crooked, floors walls, terrible paint and finishing job. Solterra would not take responsibility. Do not buy from them.

Build finish is very poor, even after the walk through the deficiencies were botched repaired e.g a random hole in the wall was aptched with a electric covering. Long wait times for repair men and mostly cowboy builders, the main guy is a rafting guide doing maintenace on the side.Our shower keeps leaking and they seem to think this is normal, now its our fault as out of warranty. Last time they had to take the whole ceiling down due to this issue. I just dont accept you have to keep resealing your shower every 6 months, clearly not installed properly.The tap just popped off and water spurted everywhere, aparently out fault and taps only have a 1 year shelf life, no support or even advice offered.Generally very poor materials.Very poor customer service, be careful not to buy into their “Dream Home”.So disappontedI will never buy with this company again.

just saw the news article on the lady who had her ceiling cave in on her at the NEW SOLTERRA BUILDING, you should investigate previous deficiencies at their past developments & HOW much inspection the CITY OF BURNBAY BUILDING INSPECTOR did

Ivan from Solterra who helped me with deficiencies at the Milano project is very good. I rarely commend people but Ivan does quality work, gets on with his business and has a great attitude to top it all off. The overall quality of the project is great and the customer service has exceeded my expectations.
