Kootenay Cycling Adventures
My daughter and I decided to give Kootenay Cycling Adventures a try for a morning's activities. It was a great choice. We chose the electric bikes and cruised our way to the bakery where we enjoyed a scrumptious cinnamon bun. The ride was scenic and quiet - not much traffic at all. The best feature of the trip, though, was the host/owner, John. He made sure we were at ease with the operation of the electric bikes and was a great conversationalist throughout the run. We enjoyed the trip so much, we decided to participate in a multi-day ride next year. We highly recommend Kootenay Cycling Adventures.

We really enjoyed cycling the Kootenay Triangle. John looks after all the details to ensure your experience is comfortable and enjoyable. He even arranged a sighting of a black bear cub at a roadside check point as well as a visit to the Nakusp hotsprings, lunch and dinners at great restaurants. Traffic was light and respectful in sharing the road with cyclists. Scenery was amazing - mountains, lakes and quiet country roads. John's flexibility allows for you to ride or shuttle based on your needs and abilities. I highly recommend booking a tour with Kootenay Cycling Adventures.

John and company didi a great Job Organizing Our Trip. We spent three days riding and it was amazing. John is a pleasure to deal with and would highly recommend Kootenay Cycling Adventures to all seeking to enjoy the beauty of the Kootenays on a bike.

We did an amazing 10-day tour with John; we talked through what we wanted and he sorted out a great trip, gave us loads of detailed info, and was on the ground to ensure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend the area, Kettle Valley, and Slocan Valley rail trails, as well as Trout Lake. Kootenay's are wild and beautiful, and John is so passionate about sharing his love for the area. We'll be back... someday. Thanks for a brilliant trip.

Excellent set up of self guided tour. Great hotels. Good recommendations for restaurants. Lol challenging hills in this part of the country! Good backup in case we took wrong turns! Which we did. But all good. We will be back.

I rented a bike and gear from John at Kootenay Cycling Adventures and did a short solo ride (2 days) from Nelson to Silverton. John was super helpful, taking the time to make sure we picked the right bike and that I felt comfortable knowing how to use all the gear. The bicycle itself was perfect for my ride because of it's versatility - as I was switching from paved road to trail along the way. Great, easy to find campgrounds with all the facilities along the way (off of the Slocan Valley Tail Trail in Winlaw, and down near the lake in Silverton).Overall, a really great trip. Wonderful weather and sunsets. Good daily distances for me as an amateur (around 50km).If you are thinking of a similar route, I recommend dinner at Mama Sita's in Winlaw the first night, and break for lunch or snack at Flaka's Bakery in Slocan City on the second day. There's no feeling quite like loading up a bike and hitting the road - really enjoyed that freedom.

We recently went on a supported bicycle tour with John & Kootenay Cycling Adventures on the Silver Triangle Tour. I can’t speak highly enough about the experience. It has been something I’ve always wanted to do! The scenery on this route was spectacular, and the roads were for the most part smooth & not busy! There are some uphills & rewarding downhills to ride! The food & accommodations were great. John always had some words of encouragement & delicious snacks & fluids @ the rest stops! The rental bikes were in good condition although I used my own. Amazing trip! Highly recommended!
