This restaurant was recommended so we went for lunch and the food was not as good as expected. Lots skin in chicken stew and the beef skewers were very tough. The flavour of the food was okay. The cleanliness of the tables and windows were very questionable. In spite of all that, the staff was very pleasant. We will not be returning.

Went here for dinner and got the Zanzibar Platter. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the variety! Favorites were the chicken, cassava fries.PJ, the owner, was really nice and talked with us for a bit. Will definitely visit again.

I had never eaten East African cuisine in my life but boy the food they served was absolutely delicious chef PJ is the man very humble and friendly and will treat you with lot of respect and did I mention the food was just so good I kept licking my finger. Best swahili cuisine restaurant in Edmonton will definitely come back. Very highly recommended.

Whenever I come here, I leave the biggest tip I possibly can. The service is always beyond exceptional, the atmosphere and the music is amazing, and even more so the prices are great. I’ve taken many buddy’s here, everyone agrees that it’s the best food in the city, the flavours are mind blowing and the portions are amazing. This will always be my favourite restaurant in the city.

This is my first time having East African food, so no point of reference, but what I got was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly grilled and their samosas are a great deal! Will definitely come back to try out their other dishes.

Absolutely love this place, my son and I had the $50 combo platter. It was very tasty lots of variety of meat/fish with cassava fries.I had food for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend and I am looking forward to coming back

Hands down one of the best experiences I've had in a restaurant in Edmonton.I can not possibly recommend these folks enough.We ordered on the phone and came in to pick up, the wait was very short compared to other restaurants like it that we've tried. While we were in the restaurant waiting as we arrived a little early, we had a fantastic time listening to their great music, and enjoying the general wholesome vibe of the place.The next time we are hungry and in the area, we will definitely be returning!I don't often rate things perfectly, but this was an amazing experience and (though we haven't eaten it all yet) delicious food!
