Collins Clothiers (Collins Formal Wear)

Unfortunately had a series of terrible customer service experiences at Collins leading up to my wedding. I had never been to this store before, was extremely impressed after my initial visit to purchase tuxedo pants for myself, but every subsequent visit for myself and my groomsmen proved to be nothing but an absolute headache.I got the impression that they do have a couple of staff who were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but otherwise… maybe they’ve been short staffed or hired brand new staff, in which case they should review their training policies. Three times I visited the store, for an appointment time slot I had booked online, and was left just standing around in a relatively empty store for 10-15 minutes, and couldn’t even get an employee to make eye contact with me let alone say hello. The same number of times, I was told that I would receive a call when I had items ready for pickup. Not once did Collins ever call me. Every single time, I would wait for a week past the date I was expecting to hear from them, call the store, and then was told something got lost in the shuffle and that’s why no one contacted me even though my items had been ready for days.When I came in for a “final fitting” prior to my wedding, the “fitting” consisted of me waiting 20 minutes inside the store, then putting on my tuxedo and having an employee ask me “So what do you want done here?”The last straw that has left a sour taste in my mouth is their deposit policy. As the groom, I was required to put down a $100 deposit in exchange for my groomsmen returning their rented tuxedos on time. Perfectly reasonable, not a problem. However, a month later I still had not seen the deposit money returned to me. I called the store to ask, and was told that they don’t keep credit card information on file so if I had not called them myself (yet again doing their legwork for them), I would never have received my money back. That’s not a deposit, that’s a charge, and it feels INCREDIBLY scammy. I can’t help but wonder how many thousands they’ve pocketed over the years thanks to people who put down a “deposit” expecting they would receive that money back once the terms of the deposit were fulfilled.Not impressed, would never spend a dime of my money with this company again.

Curt and his team at Collins were amazing to work with! Loved the selection and personalization available. They went above and beyond with a pizza party fitting for the young men when they were doing their fitting! Thanks again for making Graduation 2022 a special note!

Your selection of tuxedos was second to none, and you even have wide width shoes for which my husband was ever so grateful . Whenever we need formal wear again, Collins is it for sure. I went here for my wedding consultation and picked out the tuxes for my groomsmen, myself and my 4 year old son. The lady that helped us there was super helpful and made us all feel valued. My son was extra hyper when we were there, but she just accepted it and was very kind towards him. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fact that his rental was just as much as mine. Other than that I have no complaints. I would definitely recommend it to others in the future. Also, the surprise gift I received after our fitting was the perfect touch!

I was really impressed with how much Collins staff took care of my son. They were so accommodating and very precise with selecting correct sizes to make a great fitting suit. My son looked amazing and felt great on his graduation day!!! Thanks so much.

Staff member that helped us acted like he didn’t want to be there. We were looking for a grad suit and suit for the hockey season. Another rude staff member kept telling us to move over so her client had full view in the mirror even though the changing rooms were all right there an we had no option but to be in front of the mirror. We left without buying anything and would never go back.

Seemed a bit short staffed but I assume that's just prom season. my brother and I went in to pick up his prom suit and this short white lady with a Karen cut treated us so poorly. it was obviously busy but rather than help speed things along she acted like a child and even annoyed her fellow co-workersat least my brother looks good in his suit

I’ve had to rent here twice for 2 different events. We were never impressed with the experience.. never have enough staff to put people through.. they asks to come and pick rentals up any time yet they fail to mention there is a 1 to 2 hour wait!!! People nines up to the door! One person at the front.. and no warning of this! they don’t open until 10am even though that could help alleviate the long waits!

Amazing staff. Super friendly and helpful. They were able to help us same day rent suits for a funeral we had to attend the next day. The sales rep even offered to stay after close to make sure we could take the suits home that night.10/10 would recommend
