Paid a deposit last October for what was expected to be a spring puppy.Hardly any contact from them over the winter and when they responded to me in the spring, said the litter was due soon.We had our zoom meeting and said that the price went up $500 (from the $2700 that I agreed to). Two days later, I get an email saying the price is now $4000 for a puppy. Who knows where it would have gone over the next 2 months. $5k?I chose not to spend that amount, and asked to be off the list and have my deposit back. He accused me of getting a puppy elsewhere and stole my deposit. I have no puppy, and am out $450.00.Not the least bit impressed with this breeder".There are recommended breeders on the Canadian Kennel Club site

I paid a deposit of $450 last year September 2020 and was promised a puppy in the upcoming spring of 2021. I followed up in February of 2021 and was told that I should expect to wait for the next upcoming litter that was due soon and I had to follow up AGAIN in early June of 2021 but a reply was sent to me at the end of June to only explain that their costs have gone up. I had no call, no follow up to continue communication with me and no pictures of the litter that was I was supposed to “expect”.The deposit was an original contract and agreement to adopt a puppy at the price of $2,400 but was later told that they’ve bumped up the cost to $4,000 and did not return my deposit.This is UNACCEPTABLE because this was not what was agreed upon.!! It’s unprofessional and down right upsetting! My husband and I had been patiently waiting for the arrival of our puppy since I was also expecting a baby and wanted them to be able to grow up together but upcharging potential parents at the time of COVID is just outright taking advantage of the situation and the market. We can’t afford to be paying double the cost of what was agreed, or even losing a $450 deposit (which is a LOT of money during these dire times) and if I had known they would RIP us off of our deposit and take advantage of people like this then I would have taken my time elsewhere.Also, they accused me of getting a puppy elsewhere and used it as an excuse to steal my deposit. I have no puppy, and am out $450!! They claim they are “legitimate breeders” but scam people outright and BUYERS SHOULD BE AWARE! This breeder should not be referred as “legitimate breeders” if they’re just taking money from people who genuinely wanted to just adopt and expand their family.

On April 1, 2022 my $450.00 deposit made on Dec. 07, 2020 was finally returned to me today with the assistance of my local authorities. l complied with the breeder's request to removed my original review however my star rating for this breeder will remain the same for obvious resaons.

We have the most adorable little female. Very healthy and incredible cheerful and loving. Love that we met her parents and see their personality. It makes a big point in our decision. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable breeders, responded promptly to all questions and help with any guidance we needed. We could not be happier with our little pup

Cottontail Coton Breeders are the real deal! Their pups are healthy, loving, playful❤️ Mark & Silvia raise the puppies as family. They really care about their pups and I believe that’s important! This is the best place I have found. Did my research and decided to get my precious baby here. I had a great experience and it was super easy too. I have been looking for a reliable breeder and came across Cottontail Cotons. I am very glad i did. I am now thinking of getting a second addition to my family. Very professional breeders they know their stuff and extremely helpful. The adoption process was simple and they even sent me photos of my puppy every week since birth. Mark was patient and informative i had no experience with a puppy before. Mark took his time to explain and teach us everything we needed to know. Professional helpful and kind. Highly recommend A+
