Richmond Hospital
The absolute worst hospital. They're slow with no urgency and it appears that there are more nurses than Doctors available. A family member of mine has been there for nearly a week, most of that week he waited around for a doctor to show up while waiting on updates from nurses who didn't seem to care to give him one. He has waited patiently for days with little information of whats going on and continues to do so, hoping to get discharged as there doesn't seem to be a reason to keep him there when they're not even treating him. He also sat in emergency for 4 days before they allowed him to shower although he requested for one over and over. He hasn't seen a Doctor in days and when he was scheduled to see one at 8 am they didn't show up and was later told by a nurse that a physician would come by instead. I would not reccomend this hospital to anyone!! Go anywhere but here, you'll be greatful you did.

Our experience at the birth centre was amazing. I’m glad I gave birth at this hospital, staff are professional, friendly and supportive. From the doctors who delivered our baby to kitchen staff. Special mention to doctor Lou, doctor Lister and nurse Deborah. We appreciate the work that you all are doing.

I'm from Surrey but come to Richmond General because I have an amazing surgeon that looks after me here, and I must say the nurses here are absolutely amazing compared to the other local hospitals. They care so much and are very passionate about their jobs and go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable. I'm Trans and i don't feel discriminated against at all here, and that's a big deal. I've unfortunately been admitted to many of the local hospitals for various health reasons, and Richmond General has been the best, with St. Paul's a close second. If you are sick and need to go to the hospital, Richmond is the place to go. Though i will say you do need to treat the nurses and doctors with respect if you want to be treated with respect. You would think that's common sense, but not too many people have common sense anymore.

Before I did two times Breast cancer screening there that were good. But this year I don’t why it’s so complicated, even I got diagnostic mammogram from my family doctor, I am still waiting for there call for my schedule and the really weird thing is We sent three/ four time fax as they needed but they told me they didn’t get it. That made me thinking maybe the reason is The first time I called them and I complained they made the schedule process so complicated and they punished me in this way .So if A patient really get cancer and they delayed my treatment time made the cancer getting worse , if the patient should sue them ???Sooo worried about Canada health care system and sooo frustrated too .

I rate this hospital 3/5, because in the positive part, they provide a first class experience in their Birth Center Unit. But I observed that when you are not pregnant or for other reason, and you have walked-in through their Emergency Room, the quality of their service is very slow and some nurses are not that compassionate enough to help their patients.

We recently had the privilege of giving birth at the Richmond Hospital Birth Center, and I cannot praise this facility enough. From the moment we stepped through the doors until the day we left with our precious bundle of joy, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Here are just a few reasons why I rate the Richmond Hospital Birth Center with a resounding five stars:Expert and Compassionate Staff: The staff at the birth center are an incredible team of professionals who genuinely care about the well-being of both the mother and the baby. From the highly skilled doctors and nurses to the friendly administrative staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that we felt safe, supported, and well-informed throughout our entire journey.State-of-the-Art Facilities: The birth center boasts state-of-the-art facilities that are designed with the utmost comfort and safety in mind. The private birthing suites are spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a serene and calming environment. Each room is equipped with advanced medical equipment, ensuring that both mother and baby receive the best possible care. The staff respected and supported our birth plan, providing personalized care that aligned with our preferences and values.Excellent Prenatal and Postnatal Care: The care we received during prenatal and postnatal stages was exceptional. The hospital provided regular check-ups, informative classes, and support groups that helped us prepare for childbirth and navigate the early stages of motherhood. The dedicated lactation consultants were invaluable in helping us establish breastfeeding successfully.Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere: Richmond Hospital Birth Center created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The staff exuded kindness and patience, ensuring that my wife and I felt comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience. It truly felt like a home away from home.In conclusion, my experience at the Richmond Hospital Birth Center was nothing short of exceptional. The expert and compassionate staff, coupled with the state-of-the-art facilities and holistic approach to birth, created an environment that exceeded all our expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend the Richmond Hospital Birth Center to any expectant parent looking for a safe, supportive, and memorable birth experience. Five stars all the way!

Great experience with my breast reduction surgery! Amazing doctors and nurses, everyone is so kind.However. Despite the fact my roommate had come in to drop me off, and that several of the staff in the Surgical Day Care watched me hand my cellphone and items to him, and even telling the Staff outright that he was the person picking me up; the staff later accused him of being a unknown person, refusing to answer his questions about whether or not I was okay. They called him to come in an hour earlier, then got angry when he came in when called.Great doctors, great care for those in surgical care, but I can’t give a hospital 5 stars for being so cruel to those that are there as emergency contacts. I will do everything in my power not to return to this hospital.

I would if I could give a negative star if possible. Very bad experience or feeling twice at yellow zone MRI receptionist, she is very cold and reluctantly to work. She doesn't look at or check patients care card, she just let patients read the number and she has no motion while letting you reading the number.she looks very unhappy while working. She threw the medical form to chair and left, didn't tell us to fill the form, we realized that we need to fill the form after 20 mins.Shall she check patient med card and confirm the patient is correct people. And more, shall she tell patient to fill out a form instead throw it to a chair and left? Are we supposed to get a basic service on Saturday morning?Actually, rest of the staff at MRI are very nice and professional, her attitude is really downgrading others efforts.
