I've gotten delicious takeout from Shinwa before but this was the first time we've dined in and boy oh boy it was extremely busy on a Wednesday night and that is because the food is really good and the employees are also nice. One lady in particular who took everyone's order was very sharp, proactive and knowledgeable. We really liked her! Atmosphere is okay, is what it is for the plaza so don't expect anything fancy but it works. I would not recommend tap water from any restaurants in those plazas as you can smell the chlorine is pretty high and it tastes awful so I just bring my bottled water before I go in but they have juice and pop etc. The food we got were the Chicken Wontons, Wings, Manchurian Soup with Chicken and Shrimp, House Fried Rice with no Peas, Salt & Pepper Fish and Beef Ho Fen. Everything was delicious and nothing was greasy. They also have condiments on each table to enhance your meal experience and you know I got into that chili sauce. Yum! Thank you for a delicious meal Shinwa. We'll be back!!

Can someone help me find the chicken in my kung pao chicken? I was able to find the onions and carrots. Is this supposed to be a veggie dish? I’m confused and disappointed.

Don’t have a great experience with the Chinese food. Tried Shinwa and a couple of other restaurants. Shinwa is the best so far after trying it many times. Servants are friendly. They always help me choose an item from the menu. Every time, I try something new and it is always awesome. One more advantage, it is all Halal, so I eat whatever I want without asking for special accommodations. Highly recommend!

Shinwa serves food with fresh ingredients.My order had Bombay paneer(must try), Vegetable pakora Manchurian and Schezwan Noodles.I was also asked for preferences for spice level.The food service is fast, wait times due to lot of take out orders but has lively atmosphere as it serves most students studying in UoW.

One of the best places to eat on campus. The daily specials are only $10 and are a significantly large portion. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was amazing. Unlike other places selling chicken, the chicken they have was soft, tender and consistent. The only downside i found was the plainess of the rice. I ended up mixing the sweet sauce with rice but i feel like the rice should come with a side cup of sauce. Besides that, the service was great. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Great food. The portion sizes are very good, especially when considering the price. There's a pretty good variety of things to choose from, including vegetarian dishes. Only issue is that everytime I've been here, the service has been exceptionally slow for some reason.

The dish pictured was $15.81 after tax and it was the seafood chow mein. I took it for take out and it took kind of long for takeout, but the noodles were bland and the soy sauce and hot sauce packet was good, but you should ask for more. My friend got the vegetable chow mein for about five dollars less and it looks exactly the same as the seafood dish, except the seafood only had small squid bits, and the vegetable chow mein from what I saw had broccoli. Would probably try another sweet dish, but not the chow mein again.
