ShadeWorks™️ Patio Covers

I wanted to give my honest feedback about Shadeworks. The initial meeting with DJ was great and I had confidence the job was going to be professional. It took a total of a little over 5 months after our non-refundable 1/2 down deposit was paid and the contract signed. I think it ended up taking 1 month longer than the first automated timeframe projected. They had to customize a few parts because they did not fit correctly. Near the end we found out that they only put in drip chains from their installed patio gutters. That was a problem- They could have clearly seen from the beginning that we had a downspout there and because of the unusual shape of our house, draining water via a drip chain would cause water problems underneath our house. This critical detail was missed from the beginning (I'm sure they will try to blame that on me?). We could have re-used the original downspout and angle pieces from the old set-up for use on the new patio cover but they threw them away. I had to install a new downspout and angle pieces myself because there was soon to be rain coming. I would still like to have someone professional install them, was quoted a $350 minimum. At the end of the install I was told by the installer: we only install drip chains on our gutters". Trying to get in touch with ShadeWorks about the gutter issue and a possible solution was not an easy experience. They originally offered a $30 credit for the pieces they threw away. I am happy that they have come back with a more reasonable solution since that offer. We also had a gutter leaking issue (which would have most likely caused frozen ice problems underneath our new patio cover). They have since come back out to address that issue. My review has been updated and has now gone from a 1 star to a 3 star."

Ordered a patio cover and put a deposit down on June 10th, quoted 60 days for delivery and install. Actual date of install was Dec. 13, 6 months wait. I had multiple revised install dates. Felt that I was not being told the truth. Was denied a refund, told to read the contract. I feel Shadeworks over books their work and strings out their customers. The quote process with field salesman was prompt and professional. The install was good and finished product met my expectations. I would not recommend this company or use them again.Dana Martin******UPDATE*****I indicated to S/W salesman Andy in August I was ready for installation after he per my request confirmed an alternate mounting procedure could be performed which didnot require a reorder of product. Almost 3 months later I received a phone call from S/W requesting pics of my patio pavers and I promptly replied. Also original install lead time estimate was given to me verbally by DJ Wheeler when he came out initially for the estimate.Looking back I should have demanded a completion date with options and have a authorized representative of Shadeworks sign it.

What great workers that came to our home for our patio cover. They were friendly and put things away every day. The company is very honest and very friendly to work with. I love my pergola, built and installed by ShadeWorks! The color (smoke) is perfect and it compliments my older home and it looks like it's always been part of the property. Peaceful and inviting. Sadly, I lost a shade tree over the deck, but the pergola has been the perfect solution to provide shade and ambiance. I'm so grateful to them. They took their time doing the job right and ensuring the results are perfect. I can't say enough about the product, professionalism and skills they displayed in this installation. Very happy!

The 2 guys that did my patio Cover from Shadeworks were absolutely awesome! They had my patio Cover up in 2 days! They were very professional and my patio cover is amazing! I will definitely use them in the future and I highly recommend them! THANK YOU SHADEWORKS!

Ryan and his team were extremely professional throughout the process of planning and installing our aluminum pergola over our patio. Although the materials were backordered for several months they kept us up to date with weekly emails. We are very happy with the final result and definitely recommend Shadeworks.

I signed a contract with Shadeworks in June 2022 and had a wait of about 6 months before they could do my installation. But the wait was worth if and I am very happy with the end results. We now have a large new outdoor space that really enhances our property and living enjoyment.It is not often my expectations are exceeded, but to be honest, this patio cover and the installation does this. The quality of materials is excellent. I was very impressed with Dan and his crew of installers who were both courteous and detail oriented. In fact, I would say they were perfectionists who take pride in their work, something you don't always see these days.Overall, I feel I made a good choice using Shadeworks and very happy with the installation.

This was our 4th project completed with Shadeworks, initial pergola, then a privacy wall, a powered shade for the pergola, then a pergola extension with a second powered shade. They have done an amazing job in each case working to complete our vision for our back patio and that was done to perfection! We love our patio and have had nothing but a great experience using Shadeworks and would recommend them to anyone looking to have a pergola or shades added to their patio!

August 2020:We bought a ShadeWorks patio cover and are very pleased. Our cover was a significant investment and we wanted a beautiful, quality, long lasting product. We got it! The sales, quote and design process was smooth. ShadeWorks uses a tablet to design your patio cover in real time at your home while you watch, so you can contribute to the process. They have a booklet of pictures so you can see everything. The final product and cost were exactly as quoted, no hidden costs or anything like that. I do recommend choosing your color from the samples and not from the booklet and booklet colors are slightly off.Trevor and Rob did the installation. They arrived on time, know what they are doing and did an excellent installation job. They cleaned up the work area nicely after completion. They are a good team and are friendly, professional and courteous.The patio cover is attached to your homes facia board and this requires soffit to be removed so support brackets can be installed. Honestly, I was nervous having someone remove soffit but Trevor and Rob did an excellent job. We decided to use footings for a strong foundation which requires a building permit and inspections. Trevor and Rob handled everything including obtaining the permit and handling the building inspector. Their work passed with no problems. Rob's concrete work looks great and matches the patio nicely.I had a ceiling fan support installed. They answered all my questions so I could install the fan myself later (ShadeWorks does not do electrical work nor can they make electrical recommendations, but they can explain how the support is to be used which is all I needed).A quality patio cover is s significant investment of thousands of dollars. I can recommend ShadeWorks and Trevor and Rob to deliver a quality product worth the investment.

Absolutely amazing! We've had several home projects done that were all nightmare level, and Shadeworks was the first company to complete knock it out of the park for us. Communication was on point, project went smooth and quick with no disruptions, staff was friendly, price was Excellent... I can't say enough good things! Highly recommend!
