Carnegie Outreach Program
This place is great. Help with housing, food, welfare issues, I.D. If you need help, head here, these people can/will help you. Very user friendly and well trained through experience, the staff of Carnagie Outreach impressed me enough to write this review. I like them & they way they conduct themselves so much, I became a client...nuff said.

Arrived at 9:30, put my name on the list, and was helped around 3pm on a Friday. They stopped taking names down around 1pm due to the long line. Be prepared to wait a while, but it is absolutely worth it. These guys helped me out with my ID issues that ICBC couldn't help me with. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in need, but please remember to be kind to the staff who are dealing with so many impatient people every day.

Really helpful if you are polite and patient with the staff, and get ready to wait an hour or two in line outside before you get any services. I've had good results with them, thanks to a worker that really went out of his way to get me what I needed.

I only discovered this place today and it is already clear to me these guys save lives.Go early! Lots of lives are in need of saving lately so they're busy bees regardless of when you show up. I had to wait in a fairly long line, but it was absolutely worth it. I can't wait to volunteer here and become part of the solution in the DTES. They provide assistance with getting housing, food, employment, ID, counseling, and veterinary care among other things. I'm shocked that such a place even exists. Long live Carnegie, whoever that is.

These people have to be some of the most patient, tolerant and helpful souls that work at helping those who sometimes don't know how to do it themselves. I thank them for assisting me with a free brand new bed when I finally found a place to live. It's not the Hilton however at least I have somewhere to sleep while I devise a plan to get into the Hilton!!lol
