The broker at Toyota Dealership signed me up with this company without mentioning that the policy was 5 years as oppose to the regular ICBC policy that is only good for 1 year. I renewed my ICBC policy after 1 year at a different broker. I was under the impression that Colwood policy would also expires after 1 year. I checked my bank account and realized that Colwood was still debiting from my account. I called them to complain about the issue. I asked them to stop the policy and reimburse the 3 extra months that they debited my account. They refused and said that it was my fault for not knowing that their policy is for 5 years. I would not recommend is company to anyone. It seems like a shady business enterprise.

Just finished up a deductible claim with Colwood. They let me know what to do and dealt with the claim quickly and professionally. I don't know why you would not want to be covered by them. I felt that they cared about what was going on and ensured the claim was dealt with. Thank you.

RUN. Do not use these guys.They are not clear on their policies. We were lied to by the insurance broker when we bought the vehicle. These guys practically want the blood of a unicorn and a moon flower. We were given a list of everything we would need to provide to make a claim, we did that and its still not enough .The stress is not worth it. How much proof do they need that a person owns the car. Absolutely insane..NEVER AGAIN..

I requested Colwood insurance for two deductible payments. After I had sent payment receipts and other documents, I called them to check the status of the payment and the staff named Alina answered the phone. I talked about the issues with the body shop, they refused to fix a couple of parts and my car hadn't been fully repaired even though it's already 5 months past.After that, Alina emailed me and said that she would not pay me the deductible until the body shop finished all repair works.I replied to her that I paid the deductible and ICBC also paid the body shop to fix my car. There’s no reason for Colwood to refuse to reimburse payment.She replied and finally told me that my two deductible payments would be reimbursed but didn’t provide any apology at all.

I have extra insurance through this company, I was involved in an accident and needed some questions answered, I called over a month ago and still no phone call back. Obviously you are important until you need to file a claim and then they couldn't care less.

My windshield cracked, I had it replaced and payed the deductible. Then contacted Colwood to make the deductible reimbursement claim. All was good, I would receive cheque in 10 days. A month goes by, I called and was told it must have slipped through the cracks, I'll receive the cheque in 10 days. 2 Weeks goes by, I go into Hub (who sold me the insurance) and was told Colwood was very busy, but I would receive the cheque in 10 days. 2 months later, and 3 different 10 days" and nothing. I am clearly not going to receive this $500. I give up

Our car was a total loss with the flood. Keziah helped with a level of efficiency that I have never seen before with an insurance company. Bought replacement insurance and they came through with excellent service

Limited depreciation policy is utterly useless on a used vehicle, they do not cover rental car , or any of the fees involved with the purchase of the vehicle. I owed the bank 20,000 dollars to cover the replacement of my vehicle, ICBC gave me the current value of the vehicle colwood gave me a check of 900 dollars..

I cant say enough good things about this company.I submitted a claim for my deductable I had to pay a body shop.Within a couple of weeks I got my full refund for my deductable I paid. The couple of times I had to contact them on the phone I dealt with a young lady named Chantel.She was very polite,knowledgable,and a pleasure to deal with.I dont know how much you pay this lady Colwood, but will say she is a very valuable asset to your company.Maybe give her a pay raise,a pat on the back , and a thank you from me.Its nice to encounter such good customer service in these times!

Shady business tactics. Called to cancel insurance twice when moving out of the province. Was told I could only cancel by contacting ICBC. So I cancelled through ICBC. When I later discovered that my insurance was not cancelled with the this broker, as I believed it was, I asked for reimbursement back to the date that I started insurance in my new province. Was denied because they never bothered to record my previous attempts to cancel. My mistake for not ensuring I had better evidence of attempts to cancel. But shame on them as they were provided proof of my change of residence and start of duplicate insurance in another province. Greedy, inconsiderate and unprofessional.
