The volunteers and staff are so friendly and helpful and very patience with the few people who are pushy and rude it amazes me that when people are doing everything they can to help you someone will take advantage of the situation and actually sneak more food than they are aloud and try and jump the line to get in when times were tough they made our life better and I thank them all

I was treated in an inhumane way, the girl who gave vegetables, threw them at me and spoke screaming, rude and extremely rude people! If these people are volunteers, why do they work with people? Because they obviously don't like people!

They say beggars can't be choosers but I know when the food being giving is bad or rotten. Twice now I've had things come from here that wasn't safe to eat because they staff lack proper food safety handling. Food poisoning is common from this location due to this very fact. Please keep the food, at food safe temp. Especially seafood and meats. Reporting meats and seafood are very very dangerous.

I applied as a volunteer and called back to follow up a bit to soon. I found the overall the talks were quite welcoming and friendly. I had a really good experience and impression from the people I spoke with and felt even if I am not picked to volunteer that over all it was a positive experience actually. I really recommend anyone in need of help to try the Food Bank and I know when I was younger when I use to go with my mom it helped us in a very positive way and to the point are shelf's got full of canned food from saving some. They are a positive organization that cares about the community and aims to help those in need. Thank you Richmond Food Bank for all the help me and my mom got in the past, all though we do not go anymore, there were times we would of not ate if it was not for your organization when I was a kid- preteen. It is much appreciated and still remembered for me and my times as a kid to preteen.

Who controls who comes? International students with work permits getting free groceries, taking advantage of the system letting people in need empty handed.

Do not bring boxes inside home. Moth infestation will occur!2 hours ( seniors and disabled) to line up for spoiled food. They repeatedly say the solution is to ask a friend , family member or neighbour that wants to waste their time in line. If we had that we probably wouldn't be at the food bank. Seriously?Special treatment and first pick for Asian international students.Another corrupt service" where the majority of funding/food goes to administration and out the "back door."Manager: Keith Yee"

This is a great food bank that provides for any Richmond resident in need. From low income families and new immigrants/refugees to some of our cities most vulnerable population they are open every week with a lot to give and kind staff (even to marginalized populations most people are rude to) which it would be nice to see more often.

It's a great place for those wanting to donate but they food being given here is 100% unsafe to be consumed. The volunteers inside who give out the food based on the family eligibility are racist and biased. I have had several experience of witnessing people with the same card as mine get a lot more than I do just because they and the volunteer belongs to the same race. The idea of giving away food to the needy is highly appreciable and the intentions are great! But it is **dangerous** to give out expired and rotten food items especially in a place where it is fed to babies and elderly who are much more vulnerable to food poisoning.- The bread items last not more than 2 days and I am not even joking. Legit 2 days and starts to grow green fungus on them after.- the meat turns grayish and sometimes yellow as its spoiled due to poor food safety measures and lack of proper storage.- they give out bananas and other fruits most of the days but most of them are always spoiled to a condition that it is hard to touch with hands yet being given to people just for the sake of having given something. People take it because something is better than nothing.
