Baghdad Cafe
The cafe is clean, spacious, and located at the center of the city downtown. All the things here were perfect in terms of ambience, service, polite nature of the staff, and most importantly the taste. I had the shawarma and platter both were delicious.

Excellent. A must visit if you like middle eastern fare. Good prices as well and cafe style service meaning you get to pick everything you want. Only a five minute walk from Waterfront Station means this place is very easy to get to as well. I had the chicken shawarma and it was absolutely delicious. Although I didn't get a chance to try it the baklava looked really good as well.

This chicken shawarma plate is the best I’ve hand in Vancouver hands down, no debating about it.The place is charming, the owners are very sweet, and the food is so fresh and delicious.I’ll definitely be coming back often there’s no doubt about that.

For improvement, I wish if there was nice Arabic music that will create amazing atmosphere and vibes for Arabic visitors. We ordered chicken shawarma wraps and it was really fresh and delicious, I would come again to have it for sure!! clean place and clean food and fresh.

Stopped in for a quick supper meal as this restaurant is cafe style, meaning you select from a counter and pay. Dining area is small but expected for the type of service provided. Two of us ordered the Chicken Shawarma, one with cucumber beet salad and Tzatziki and the other with cucumber salad and Hummus. The meals also came with rice and pita bread. The chicken was shaved off of a rotating spindle. It was very flavourful. Portion size was ample. The beet salad could have used more beets it was mostly cucumbers. They advertised free Iraqi style tea but were not offering it due to Covid. I appreciate that we could not serve our selves the tea but do think the server could have poured cups for those who asked. Also they did not garnish with any olives as done in past visits.

The rice and hummus were great. But the kabab was not tasty. Lastly, it was expensive in comparison to other places for the same meal.

Went here twice this week and had some great food! The guy at the front is super kind and friendly. The portion size is enough for one person and the price isn’t bad either. Try the falafel wrap, chicken wrap or the chicken platter.
