Kismutt Small Dog Rescue

Kismutt is constantly causing drama and bashing other local businesses. They have extremely strong controversial opinions that they allow to get in the way of others basic human rights. I am not sure how they have gotten away with many of the things they do and continued to serve the community. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

Kim doesn’t like to be challenged when she’s in the wrong. My friend called to adopt a rescue and when she ask Kim what the adoption cost was Kim replied and said how much his he worth to you?????Is there not a set cost?!Then she said when challenged that my friend must not have wanted the dog bad enough to pay an exorbitant enough of money.

Please don’t send your dogs to this rescue, they won’t live a fair life, would be better off taking them to the humane society where they will be properly cared for and have a better chance of finding a loving home.You’re only accepted by “Kismutt” if you agree with her and do as she pleases, she knows everything about everyone, or at least thinks she does and as soon as you disagree you will be blocked and bashed.Unprofessional at its best.

I have had nothing but poor experiences with this rescue. The first occurance was then they decided to share a huge status explaining why they utilize ableism in their adoption process (they do not adopt to autistic individuals - this is ableism & elitism) and when confronted by people who have the disability they were speaking on, they chose to harass and block “the haters” instead of hold themselves accountable for the harm they are continuously causing. Not only would i never consider adopting from this rescue again, but i would stay 10 lightyears away from Kimberly A Thomas and any animals or people she is in contact with. Anyone who holds the views that an autistic child can be inherently evil definitely believes that dogs and cats can be aswell and definitely believes that they should be utilizing punishment and behavioural modification with them(proven to cause more anxiety)No animal being abused by them is worth adopting. Supporting eugenics through a discriminatory adoption process will never lead to a successful business. Let other rescues take the poor animals in and appropriately adopt them out to families without discrimination.

Tearing down another business. Whether the events about it are true are not is in poor taste. It is easy to point fingers, but ultimately rescuing a stray dog is NOT anyone's responsibility other than animal services. It could be incredibly dangerous and unsafe. Involving yourself in such a matter and in such a public way is awful. A clear indication of how she handles business, difficult situations and what kind of person she is.Delete and blocks people that are trying to defend the other business. very distasteful.

She is extremely disrespectful, and very childish. She's very unprofessional, and slanders other for no reasons. I would never support her. Many other great organizations to support who are caring and have the animals best interest at heart. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Extremely unprofessional and toxic online presence and communications. Slandering of veterinarian professionals (which is a profession with an already high burn out and suicide rate). You would think a 'rescue' would have more respect for those helping animals as well as understanding they run a buisness with employees to look after. Please reconsider utilizing this rescue to find your next family member. There are many out there that actually lovely to communicate with and have respect for people.

Kim & her husband at Kismutt Small Dog Rescue are heaven sent! They genuinely care for the well being of the dogs they care for. They take in stray dogs & bring them back to life. My hubby & I are so happy with the experience we’ve had with them! The new addition to our family (Biscuit) is an absolute joy & so gentle with our newborn. I highly recommend!!!

Very unprofessional. Spreading rumours over Social media and then she blocks you when she doesn’t agree with what you have to say. She doesn’t even have first hand knowledge of the situation and bad mouths another business. After reading about her refusing to adopt a dog to a family because the child has Autism is also a red flag. I would never adopt a dog from a place like this. There are many other rescues that treat people with decency and respect.
